I love this design. What were your cutting dimensions? I didn’t see this on the site. Thank you
@mhaz494 жыл бұрын
Great job; really nice table. You could have used glue only and not pocket screws. The glus would give enough holding power by itself.
@ryanbay35363 жыл бұрын
Awesome. For all those asking about pocket screws, it’s because I believe this is sponsored by Kreg. If you follow the link for the build plans, it takes you to Kreg’s site where there is a link to buy their pocket screws. I’m sure she knows you don’t need all those screws.

Beautiful project, but for that small glue up you don't need all those pocket holes. The glue is strong by himself.

The finished project is all that matters and it looks lovely. Constructive feedback is fine but you don't really need the same feedback in loads of comments. Cracking job. Cheers Karl

Looks great! I think with all the pocket screws you used, you literally could do a table dance on this thing! LOL. Sturdiest nightstand I've ever seen :-)

How far back did you mount the drawer slides? Looks to me like it’s 3/4”? I’m in the middle of making these and want to make sure I do it right

Katie Cleveland, would love your recommendation for a bandsaw. I’m a weekend worker looking for my first bandsaw
@addicted2diy4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I really depends on your budget. I started out with a little RYOBI bandsaw and it served its purpose, but just wasn’t quite big enough. We got a great deal on a 14” JET bandsaw and couldn’t pass it up. Lots of great brands out there and also some great finds on Craigslist. We’ve gotten some great tools off of there. If you can get a 14” bandsaw from any of the nicer brands (JET, Laguna, Powermatic), that’s what I’d go with. Lots of times, older woodworkers are ready to hang up their shop aprons and sell off all of their tools and they’re in excellent condition. You just have to act quickly.
@panchobrown75624 жыл бұрын
Thanks Katie, I have my eye on a Laguna 14/12. With your confirmation I rather not waste time on money on a small one if the 14” is the ultimate goal...

If you use 1/2 in ply for the drawers what size pocket screws would you use?
@jakedevillier58634 жыл бұрын
Good job! But Just a tip, edge joints like those are incredibly strong with just glue. No screws needed at all.
@addicted2diy4 жыл бұрын
jake devillier I’m definitely going to go about things differently on the coffee table. My Kreg foreman makes it super easy to get carried away with the pocket holes😂

This side table you built will it hold 220 pounds ??
@addicted2diy2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. I would definitely assume so. It's pretty sturdy. Though I didn't build it to hold people.
@way2fast4u2 жыл бұрын
I didn't say anything about holding people. So really I don't know what you are thinking. Must be one of those that jump to conclusions

Umm, okay. I suppose I got a bit mixed up. Either way the table is very strong🤷🏼♀️

I like the design but way too many pocket screws. I believe you could cut down on the pocket screw by 50 to 90 percent and still have really nice table and it being 1 to 2 lbs. lighter.

Haha! At Christmas I told my husband I wanted a panel saw while we were waiting for Lowe’s to rip my 3/4” plywood into strips so we could load it more easily. Hubster made some corny joke about how expensive it would be. My reply was that it’s less expensive than jewelry. Lowe’s Guy agreed! ;)
