Anthony Pereza Make sure all the nearby doors are destroyed and that their food inventories are full. I had to throw a bunch of extra food at them. They picked it all up and once they did they started mating. Once they start mating, the farmers will maintain the crops.

1 I have 2 birch doors and 2 dark oak doors. I don’t think the type of door matters. I had normal oak trap doors however. I made the design the exact same, but I used cobblestone under the glass. I also didn’t add a roof and put glow stone on the corners. Again I’ll also add you have to give the villagers a ton of food to fill their inventories. I used carrots and started with only 3 villagers. After using it, I have maybe 23 villagers and they’re still breeding! I also added an additional trap door under the one for you to enter, because the babies could get out. I hope this helps! If anyone else needs help, I can send pics through discord!

It works on 360, but just a few things to keep in mind. 1. Spam doors by the 4 original doors. & 2. Put a dropper with food on top of the breeder.

If you are having problems getting your villagers to breed you can try breaking all the doors and then replacing them or you could just place the doors in very last after you already have the villagers in. The reason this works most the time is because it resets the village. The reason the farm breaks is because when you put the villagers in they might have been one block lower at some point and detected the doors.

Laura Morrow Hi. I don’t know if you are having the same problem but if the villagers keep jumping on the crops try putting all your water sources below the glass instead of any trapdoors, this will prevent them from jumping on the crops

Works on ps4 aquatic update. Not sure if it's infinite yet, but I would assume so. It started working after I added 12 more doors 1 block outside of the first 4. Basicly in a + formation , 3 on ea side. Started working emidiatly after that. Thx for the tutorial

Why not place the water source in the centre of the farm? You can have more crop growing space. Also, growing crops in rows makes them grow faster. Alternate between potatoes and carrots.

I have 23+ villagers. You still have to help the process along by feeding them from time to time to trigger interest in breeding. I may use some of them in my iron farm.

if they are 16 blocks away they should be fine. A villager has to be near a door for it to considered valid. so if villagers arent near your doors than you wont have problems

I built it underground and found a bug. TO fix it replace all the farmland with a full block. Dont know why but sometimes it recognizes the farmland as not a whole bloock and the villagers recognize the doors. Feels random.

So I made it and it worked, so I took out three of them that had good trades, so there were three left in there (1 farmer, 2 librarians) but around that time it stopped working, and I tried replacing the doors in the middle but it still won’t work, any idea on what I should do??

Also both when it was working and when it isn’t, the villagers keep trying to jump out where the trapdoors are, so the crops keep getting trampled and I have to use my hoe on the ground over and over again, is there a way to stop them from doing that?

this no longer works in 1.14 but if you are on 1.13 or earlier yes the doors need sky access

@@jbob3mm Yeah I know but I'm playing on 1.13.2, probably should've mentioned that. However, I solved it. When I want the villagers to breed I just extract a grassblock with a piston at ground level so sunlight reaches and when I don't I just retract the piston. So I didn't have to move all villagers and the farm above ground. Thanks though! :)

The villagers inventory could be full, although make sure you're not standing too close as items will automatically go to you before villagers if they're on the ground.

yeah they are kinda buggy sometimes. and I would maybe recommend using a more up to date tutorial on this for 1.14 or up. They maybe some huge changes to villagers in that update
