Great piece. It looks so intimidating. But breaking it down into four pieces makes it seem more manageable. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome job Shara. Love the metal hardware solution. As I was watching, I thought “I could make that so much more complicated!” And that made me think about why I love your builds. There are a lot of things that need to be complex. But you show an elegant way to keep things simpler, while still being beautiful. Your aesthetic is clean and functional. Thanks for being amazing.

Thanks so much! I think I’m like that in almost everything I do. I follow the keep it simple stupid (KISS) method often. Why make things complicated when they can be simple? 😅 i always appreciate you following along!
@WillysPerformanceCycleCtr4 жыл бұрын
Great build! One simple, but ingenious thing you do is to use your tape measure to drill or screw without marking!!! Saves time and obviously you don’t have to sand off the pencil marks!! Too simple, big time saver and obviously it works!!! Thanks for these great videos.

This has been a great series! I don't know that I'd have thought of scoring the plywood for the doors like that for the pattern. Nice to have that one in the tool box now. In the end it looks like I am building some very large 7' x 4' barn doors out of poplar for my clients, rail & stile design since the doors need to look good from both sides (will divide two room). Will be the biggest thing I've ever built for someone else.

Ok first, awesome video!! A few thing I loved: 1) you left the learning curve in the video. It’s nice to see that even the pro’s make the occasional mistake. 2) That track for your circular saw is amazing I can’t believe I’ve never seen one before. I need it now, lol! 3) Don’t let me tell you what to do, but you never need to apologize for lack of video to me. These videos are always awesome, the fact that you always have plans available too is amazing! Thank you for another wonderful project!!

What kind of white paint did you use? Latex? Do you put a clear top coat over the white paint? If so, what did you use?
@WoodshopDiaries4 жыл бұрын
I use sherwin Williams emerald enamel. I don’t typically apply clear coat over my paint, but I did on this since I distressed it and sanded off the paint in some places. I just used Minwax Polycrylic water based for that
@AlexRodoni4 жыл бұрын
Shara Woodshop Diaries perfect thanks. Did the polycrylic “yellow” the white at all? How did you apply it?
@WoodshopDiaries4 жыл бұрын
I brushed it on. It didn’t yellow and since it’s water based, it also shouldn’t yellow over time either.
