Thank you so much for this! Exactly what I was looking for. I've been recording more and more recently without having a system in place to properly deal with all the material. I've written this down in detail and setup the folders now, time to be organized!

I've spent a lot of time recently trying to gradually get some sort of system in order but it's always been almost too big a task to comprehend as i'm always trying to find the balance between being able to recall as much work as possible and being manageable day to day. You've got me writing pages of notes on my own take of your system, so big thanks for the inspiration!

Can be interesting for real beginners but please change the title to ''How To Organize Your Recorded Samples Library'', wasn't what I expected, I thought he was going to show us his recording and editing process. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I truly needed to watch the video, I have been in an endless rut for a good year and I have been trying to find a way for me to implement a good workflow to record, compile and create sfx. Mainly I noticed that it's more or less the issue of not yet having that full workflow set and my main issue has always been the idea of recording what I needed, edit it right away then forget it. Love this video, thank you so much Chase!

Better be careful with those alias, for one most DAWs won't let you preview (listen) to them without adding them, and anytime the mother file is moved or has a name change, it will not find it. I used to use a very similar workflow for my libraries and when done right it does save some space amd allow you to make multiple kits with the same sounds without having multi copies saved. After my terrible mess I just decided to start copying the files over, my main library is only around 20gb (no large files) and has 2 or 3 copies of some samples. Then I have a seperate loop and longer sample library that I still use the alias for.
