How to Build a Sugar Syrup Mixing Drum

Built one of these a few years back and it works very well. We have since upgraded to a tote and trash pump setup because we needed more volume. But for the emerging hobby/sideliner this is a great solution. Nice build video Josh.

Ive made the same mixer Josh. If you change out the 90 on the bottom to a 45, it will allow both a vortex spin of the syrup as well as a bit of downward pressure to ensure all the sugar gets mixed and not have any small areas in the bottom up next to the wall. all the best

Ha this was really good I just got the drum and a pump but I had gotten mine to be the transfer tank I was going to mix mine by hand in a 3 gal bucket but that is really cool what u did thanks

What is your solution for getting the last bit out of the barrel? I made one of these and have to tip the barrel to get the last few gallons out.

I use my pump that I use to pump the syrup in my feeders to pump the last of it out.
