Rich asked me to comment on what I'm currently using. Replace the D ring with an old ratchet from a ratchet strap and you won't need the pegds. I also used a 4x8 seet of osb that i used pinstripe tape to have a inch grid behind it and I was able to tiller bows way faster .

I also attach the 4x8 grid sheet to the 2x4 tillering tree so it is always square. you could use an old comealong or boat ratchet. I found my ratchet in the trash worked on it for 15minutes and had it for free.

Why hell yeah! That's awesome. I thought about attaching mine to the wall and then grid it off. Like you said, it will always be square, and I can tell by the lines how far the bow is bending. Thanks buddy.
