TINY HOUSE
This is a very cool Tiny House and 10 foot x 14 foot. It's your Tiny House or Cabin, Workout Room, whatever! Fairly straight forward design and easy to build. Best foundation to use is Railroad Ties. Bamboo floor. Cedar Decks. Pre-Painted Siding. It's simple to add a small kitchen and bathroom if you want to continue on in that direction but ours is an office and workout room because we didn't need to cook and crap out here.
You’re free to use this song in any of your videos, but you must include the following in your video description:

This would make a nice little yoga studio or a writer's retreat. But you need a bathroom and some kid of rudimentary kitchen (counter top, dorm refrigerator, countertop microwave and coffeemaker) to call it a tiny house or guest cottage. And put some kind of window treatments over all that glass for privacy. Only then would you have a tiny house where a guest could spend a few nights.

It's a mathematical equation. It involves and resolves the time elapsed between events. I was trying to help my nephew understand how to do this with a T chart. He was texting. I was drinking. Should have said lapse. Glad you asked?

Well....the title is misleading....because this is NOT a "Tiny House". It's basically an out-building "Tiny Room". It's nice for what it is...and it IS what it is....but it is NOT a "stand alone HOME". Congrats on your build...and I'm sure you will get a lot of use from this pleasant out-building. I did read with curiosity that you built it in the winter :-) Wish I could say that was possible where I am...but it's not...winter here involves a LOT of snow. :-)

Jim Howard yes it's called A job and also working on my clients as a licensed esthetician but I don't have to put their business out there I just see the results to the happiness in the continuation of them coming back to me for them to have better looking skin. I also have to take care of an aging mother you know being an adult we have to do things that we didn't ask to do but at the same time if I was to just make a video of my day-to-day life would be daunting and tiring also I wouldn't mislead anybody with wrong word usage. What you made was very beautiful but it wasn't what was said on the title that's all I'm saying if you have a problem with that then that's your fault. Honey I was to tell you that I went and got you a cake for your birthday and showed up with a sausage a hot cake from McDonald's, would I be wrong? Both delicious and pancakes are technically cakes.

Nice build looks great, you don't need plumbing or even electricity & that will probably be added to your build later I'm guessing. For all those with the brain of a snail that commented its a room I will tell them all its all you need in life a safe place to sleep. Young people have never probaly lived in a bed sit & will not see but living in one room saves a fortune on heating for starters. Stay humble and be your self that's me, as most people pretend there some thing there not there not living in the real world. Pretending to be rich living in large houses that will never be there's fools nobody. From RICK O'MORTIS, The Coffin Maker.

That was absolutely amazing. I used to build the home Depot cabins and sheds as a sub contractor with my brother. I gave it up 10 years or so ago due to lack of sleep. We traveled and build at times 2 locations 16×20 twice with no sleep in 24 hours. lol. The wood back then was precut. However today I heard the walls are prefab. So i can imagine the quick builds. My brother now in TX. Builds cabins and sheds all exclusively himself with a few workers forming his own business completely cutting home depot out. With the growing of tiny homes he is making a killing. lol. Shed life.

I'm no contractor, but wood should never be in contact with dirt/ground. Why wasn't concrete piers used?
@evawild8016
@evawild8016 8 жыл бұрын
+maria herrera Rail ties are treated for contact with the ground. If you don't enclose the open area underneath, it becomes a swell abode for skunks, etc. The outbuilding is very zen. I love separate buildings on my property. I built a one bedroom house and office, woodshop w/mancave, design studio, hot tub room, all are individual structures,built over an 8 year period with no loans. We are 70 ish and it's lovely to "go" someplace without having to actually GO anywhere at all..

This IS a Tiny House. For those who claim it is not, it is. It falls into the category of many similar homes deemed as Tiny House. As it states on Wiki, there is no set definition as to what constitutes a Tiny House and the name is not a trademark. It is merely a movement, not a structural guideline. Concerns about structural integrity about Tiny Houses is the only guideline but that is irrelevant, and so are personal interperetations regarding what Tiny House dimensions should be. This builder has built a great Tiny House structure for surprisingly low cost. This has been one flaw in the Tiny House movement is the large expense people spend building their Tinies. Granted more would need to be spent expanding the interior but getting this far as this cost and this finished is still impressive. Lowering costs is the next evolution in building Tinys and this is great example. Spending $40k to build one is unwise. Some have gotten into trouble following someone elses interpretation of a Tiny House. Ignore these Tiny House Police! Build one on budget like this one. That's what the movement is about. Saving money with this new lifestyle. The original Tiny House makers should appreciate this low-cost evolution if they really are true to the movement. Which NOBODY owns BTW.

I have a 400sqft cabin with piers 6ft deep in the ground, railroad ties on top of the piers 2x6 tongue and groove decking on top. That decking serves as the floor for the cabin, which is a little drafty in 30 degree weather. After 20 years the railroad ties don't show any signs of breaking down. I do happen to know they rot from the inside out usually due to bugs, not ground or water contact. Don't discount railroad ties, they are cheap and very usable. Plus you get to recycle in the process. If they only last 30 or 40 years, I think that's acceptable for a $2000 building. Jack it up with a bottle jack and change them out like a flat tire.
