I did it! It took me hours but I did it! Lol this is by far the best step by step tutorial I’ve ever come across… legit I was pausing after each bit & just doing it. If it wasn’t working? If anyone is having issues with with overlapping ceilings (part starting around 5:50) and is playing on an S+ server like I am, just make a regular wooden ceiling. It should overlap easily with the vanilla structure. I was messing with angles and everything for twenty minutes before I was like, "well, lets try this because maybe..." and it freaking snapped in the overlap right away.

Fun fact: a common type of house in Scandinavia during the Viking age was the longhouse. These typically had low walls and a large thatched roof, making them look a bit like an upside-down longship made of straw. This is not a complaint, I really like this build. The details are amazing. It would be interesting to see your take on a "real" viking house at some point, though ;-)

Okay, the part where we had to place the walls on the roof..was the most DIFFICULT part of this video but after maybe a good 30 minutes of frustration and redoing I finally got it right and it turned out great.

I'm baaaaaaaack... just couldn't stay away. With the treehouse, I thought gathering all those materials and crafting all those bits would make the final product more fulfilling. It didn't. With this build, I have discovered the joy of Creative Mode. And now, I too have the magic fairy dust that lets me float in the air above my build. And I learned, I enjoy my builds MORE in Creative Mode, cause it is really fun and doesn't come with a high aggravation price tag, so I don't feel the exhausted resentment when I look at it. I am off to build your Large House... bring on the castle! Oh dear, I am getting too full of myself....

I am having trouble with the roofing part where it overlaps (where we use the stairs first and then have to replace them with the ramps) it seems like the ramp that i end up placing down is obstructing the stairs on the same side when i go to place the second set. this happens on both sides of the roof. i also keep getting the cant place error noise and the ramp wont place down to replace the stairs sometimes as well, despite it showing as green

I am having so many problems with the front of the house. Ever since building the initial fence foundations & placing the stone pillars on the foundation next to the door, it causes everything else I place on top of it to place crooked or with a huge gap.

Moist Squid go through your key bindings/controls in the game, and set whatever key you want to the snap point.

The ramps will not intersect on official that's why you need to place stairs first if you are building using no clip then you can just use stairs

I’m using SS and couldn’t get things to snap right so I converted all the structure pieces back to vanilla, but I still can’t get the wooden walls to snap reversed. The q button cycles all snap points except the one I need. Please help?
