Hi David, Great video, awesome looking flag. Do you actually fill the stars with the varnish? Sounded like you said you fill them, so they are flush in the end product. Do you have any with added emblems, or decals, like military logos, eagles, or deer?
@davidvasher67526 ай бұрын
@@WilliamCreasap hi william, thanks for watching. I dont fill the stars just put varnish a little heavier. I do carve in miltary lettering such as USMC. Or ARMY. On stripes near bottom of flag. 👍🇺🇸🤠

Love your flags bc they’re similar to mine-everything from the lay out to the wheel of death (as my buddies call it) 😂 to the finish…except mine have cuts on the FACE .. love the helicopter sounds just as much, bet you’re a fun grandpa! I use a 2 part epoxy finish but I have to babysit it bc nobody likes runs or drips in those valleys. Nice video, love learning from other craftsmen ; have a great day bud…🖤

Thought of another question Dave, have you ever taken the router and fluted the back to reduce some of the weight? Is it possible to do without the risk of warping, or hitting screws that hold the pieces together?
