Frank, that was a wonderful video. I rarely comment, but in this case I need to do so. The build was simple and clear, but what I really loved was the involvement of your kids and your comments during the video. Thru-out the video it is clear where your heart is. You have a nice family and you are a wise man to offer them a free life, built with hard work and founded on the Lord. One other (not so important) thing, those foundation blocks are great. Building here in Romania I often struggle to find adequate supports that are stable and don't expose the wood to rot. I may consider pouring my own for any future projects. Lord bless!
@FrankDoesIt4 жыл бұрын
George, thank you so much for the kind and heartfelt comment! I greatly appreciate that you can pick that out. Putting Christ first in our lives is why we live such a free and happy life full of love. I greatly appreciate men like you who will take the time to show support to a fellow man of God! Those deck foundation blocks sure came in handy! Made the guess work very little 🤣 God bless you my friend, I would love to meet you some day, if not on this earth than I will in eternity 👊🏼 take care!

@@FrankDoesIt Thanks for the reply Frank. It seems to be a natural desire for those in Christ to wish to meet each other. I've been working in Romania since 1991, originally as a church planter, but as people came to Christ we've seen the need to help them in so many practical areas of life. The last 12 years I've been building summer camps in an area called "Dobrogea" (south-east Romania, 10 miles from Bulgaria, right at the point where the Daube river breaks north. We've done all the work on these camps ourselves so I sometimes look thru videos to learn new things. Your video was simple, but it stood out to me from the many others I've seen. If you ever have an inkling to com this way you and your family are more than welcome to stay in our home. If you'd like to correspond more I can give you me email. Lord bless you and your family.

Im getting ready to build a woodshed and this was a super helpful video. Very chill vibe, loved the kids playing around, and the design is simple and sleek. The best part for me was learning how to use the hardware that you used to hold the roof boards in place. That's the route I'm going. No guess work is my jam. Thanks Frank!

Love the design, if you're willing to share the sketch up file, that would be much appreciated! On floor construction... Screws have very little side load or shear strength, they should be used to hold joints together and not the entire weight of the structure and wood pile on it. Lag bolts or beam notching to handle that load would have been ideal on the frame, especially under a heavy load so your floor doesn't prematurely sag and fail. I enjoyed the video! Godbless you and your family!

Thank you very much Nick, and good advice. I put 5 screws at each location because of that, but lags would definitely be better I agree. I can totally share the sketchup file, shoot me an email and I’ll send it to you! Thank you for the kind comment, God bless you as well!

Nice shed, great presentation, keep up the good work, Frank! Family homesteading and homeschooling is the Lord's answer to the degradation of the culture. I feel this strongly in my heart. Got yourself a sub, brother. God bless you and your family.

Thank you so much William! I agree with you, thankfully we are blessed to be able to do those things... although I would like to do more homesteading! Thank you for the sub! God bless you as well friend.
