Finally after 3 years, I built the workbench that I once imagined to be the first Get Hands Dirty video project. Hope you guys enjoy this super heavy and sturdy roubo style inspired woodworking workbench made out of hard maple and featuring a 12" quick release bench vise! Weights about 120kg (265lb) Dimensions are 150 cm x 70 cm x 74 cm tall (59" x 27 1/2" x 29" tall)

I have been binge-watching a bunch of your builds lately, and I really like this one. I'm curious about whether you ever consider publishing/selling plans to some of your builds or not. That is outstanding! I disagree with some of your design decisions and some of your OHS practices but you and your twin producing that by yourself is just Fnnn Exceptional. I teach Woodwork and Metalwork to high school students in Australia. 1/3 to 1/2 of classes are female in a subject that is optional. I'll direct them to this video. I hope they find it as inspirational as I did.

Congratulations on that workbench - when you were doing the handplaning test, it didn‘t move a bit, I think that‘s proof enough, that it is sturdy :-) And the chisel cleanup work was spot on!

Cristiana, I’m being very honest when I say that this is probably the best work table I have ever seen for woodworkers (and I’ve seen at least a thousand). Perfect size, and design for strength plus accessories! Also wanted to say the build itself was “Excellent”. Of course we all make a few mistakes and I appreciate you leaving those in the video for us to learn from. This video seems to have a few more than usual humorous parts in it. More than you usually show. Of course your use of your legs and body on the floating tennon pull should be an Olympic event - haha. I know your going to add (or have already) to the center space and put in a lower shelf. I’m curious about the center because you always think the project through to design and make use of every part of your projects. Maybe we will see that you left room for an small opening to put a saw, chisels, marking gauge, combination square etc into while your working?. This went long, Sorry! But I was amazed at your thought process and build with an outstanding outcome done without help lifting! (Your twin wasn’t much help). Thank you for sharing!!

Ahaha, yes my twin is a bit lazy... Thank you so much for the kind words, I appreciate them and I am going for a more tradicional split top roubo-style, so the center piece will be a tool holder. Not sure if it is going to get a lot of use or not, but I want to try it out! I do have some humorous parts in other videos, not in every single one, but there are quite a few :) It depends on the moment, I guess!

Yes, she definitely wins the gold for pulling on those stupid tenons. Another contend or for new Olympic sport is definitely bodyslamming the tenons into place at 12:30. Not long ago, a very smart person invented what is known as a "push boom." It works very well for cleaning up saw dust. I think Lowe's carries them. BTW, VERY NICE work bench. I may make this one.
