The added trim was one of those times we call "happy mistakes". Because it added charecter to the piece. Nice job

I've been in construction for over 25 years, and I must say.... you did a fantastic job explaining this process! Also, great workmanship all around. Bravo!!

You are so much more down to earth than another "creator/teacher" that I use to enjoy following on here. (When im not flipping furniture myself, I'm on here watching others and their amazing work!) Always remain true to yourself❤ Your work and personality are awesome.

Something I just learned: buy a crosscut blade for the miter saw for cleaner cuts 👍🏽 The blade it comes with is an all purpose blade.

I'm so appreciative of your instructions. I've watched DIYWife and a few others explain this, but your explanations are by far the best I've encountered. I've saved several of your videos because you have a remarkable ability to make complex tasks feel accessible and achievable. Your clear and concise guidance truly makes me feel confident that I can do it too!

Thank you so much for this!! Definitely putting this on my list of things to try! And I love that you don't make everything look easy, you show the mistakes as they happen, and keep marching forward when things go wrong 💛 so tired of unrealistic expectations!

Even though you didn't plan on adding trim it turned out beautiful sucks there was water damage did you still sell the piece? if so how much did you get for it? If you didn't sell it because of the water damage it would be nice to donate it to a family in need it would make someone very happy and you could use it as a tax write off.... I love the way the piece turned out it is beautiful...

I can't get behind scripted voice over after-the-fact narration. It never quite works, even on channels with millions of subs. Talking naturally to the camera while you work is so much more engaging and easy to follow. Mustie1 style > Nile Red style. Love your channel though and would marry.
@flippedbyabby7 ай бұрын
I really appreciate this feedback!! I've been getting away from the voiceovers and try just talking to the camera now if you've noticed in my newer videos! It's just a skill to get comfortable on camera like that
@shyft097 ай бұрын
"even on channels with millions of subs" it works for some people then

New here. I don't mind narration over video. Imo, it explains easier while showing in depth what's going on with the teaching. I'm brand new to furniture flipp'in but I'm loving it and am excited about learning tips and tricks to change the look of older pieces in more modern look. Of course I'm not talking about changing antique pieces. But modernizing others some possibly ugly vintage though. Glad I found your channel. New sub here. 😀 Ps. After I found you, going back to older videos to pick up your background story. 👍 Native floridian here though moved to NE Alabama on Lookout mountain in 2015. It got oo crowded and I was tired of all the humidity and heat in FL after 50 yrs. Lol Lovin' the mountains.

@@DonnaRatliff1 thank you so much for following along!!! I think the trick is a combination of both talking to the camera and voice! I agree it’s easier to learn by showing the clip while explaining at the same time!
