You did one hell of a job on that tube. Very good quality and craftsmanship. I wish I had the tools and equipment to make my own but I believe I will end up buying one. I'd rather be able to tell my friends that Yeah I made this but I have a few physical limitations that will hinder my building abilities. I broke my back and can't walk and don't have a concrete garage or workshop and dirt doesn't do well with wheelchairs lol but anyways, you did a fantastic job, I'd even buy it. Great job sir

I believe I have one of my buddies willing to go in half on the pipe since we only need such a small amount but can only buy 8 foot minimum that way we both can build one. What is your opinion on the amplifier? Would you suggest a higher/better power/quality? And have you noticed if it draws a bunch of power from the battery? I will have a 15 inch led light bar soon and I figured with both of those pulling power I may need a stronger battery. What's your opinion? *****

Andrew Hunter The amp I used worked great however Clarion makes an amp of the same size with more power and better quality... about $100 on Amazon. The led bar should not draw a lot of power - def much less than the headlights do. no issues with draw from the battery with this amp. I think you could see problems trying to play without the motor running after about 15 to 30 minutes... but so far no issues. hope this helps =)

I was going to make my own but since we been ridding with the headsets I can hear music and share with everyone over the headset if I want scala pack talk or any other. Saw one like this the other day, but, he had his speakers facing inwards and he sealed the edges and put a hole in top of this PVC in the middle and put something on it so all the sound was coming from the top and there was something that amplified the sound, it was loud as hell

For $73.00 Amazon sells this as a Marine Amp, with Marine speakers.Same kit you got here, But speakers are included and Waterproof as well, Built one for my Golf Cart, very similar...I've washed it several times and it gets pretty wet regularly-No issues. Sounds Real nice for what it costs, blows peoples minds for it's size, and decent bass as well.Mine benefitted from an Air Port,on the bottom and just some poly pillow stuffing inside. I didn't glue mine either. Made it with a longer wire,( fits under my seat to hide it when I gotta leave it,) but also can set it up on the seat, or on the ground under the cart and it rocks the beach.!!! You did a nice job man! The air port I used is a potty vent,kinda type of check valve, it don't let H2o in but lets air out. Thanks for the vid.

Great question. If I had to do it again - I would give the tube a really good pre-sanding. The paint is holding up ok but it does nick off pretty easy when it hits something sharp.

Any color as in the tube color? yes, you could use any color of spray paint. lighty sand it first. For can am, not sure. i dont have one to measure from, however, it should be pretty much the same process...you just need to measure your front rack and decide how big or small you want the tube to be. ;)

If your speakers are 6.5" then shouldn't i get a 6.5" pipe? wont a 6" pipe be too small and then the speaker will hang over and create a lip? obviously this did not happen in your case, but i am just worried if i get a pair of 6.5" speakers, then i dont want to get the incorrect pipe diameter. thanks for the help.

Not sure what you mean about the canister (the spray can? - if so this was the black undercoating spray I used to finish it with). The pvc cement was the regular clear stuff. Please let me know if i did not answer your questions =)

So far so good. You could go with a marine grade speaker and would likely be better. I try to avoid direct stream spray water on the speakers.

Thanks for your question... I think I ended up on 14 or 16 inches (355mm to 406 mm). I just mocked it up on the rack first to find what looked and fit well and where the corners fell into the rack. I recommend doing the same just to be safe. =)

I want to build one that is seperate pieces for each speaker to go on each side of my rad relocate. can I mount the amp part in one tube and run the wire hook ups to the second?. are there caps for these pvc tubes that I could use on the ends and seal up with the pvc cement? I would just drill a hole and silicone for the wires to go into the second tube. i do a lot of water and mud riding so I'll use a lot of silicone. thanks.

It should, but I would not run it for long while the motor is not running. The lower the power the amplifier (generally speaking) the better it will work on small batteries.

If you tin the tip on your iron it will transfer heat faster to the wires. Keep it clean and it will help you in the long run.

+JoeTechProjects i ended up building my own just like you did i got an 8 foot sch 40 6 inch round piece it already had a 45 degree elbow on one end FREE it was beside a dumpster i threw it in my truck an hauled ass am assuming they were throwing it out, but wasn't chancing it hehe, so i cut pipe down to size bought another 45 elbow 25 bucks just for that one elbow,a cheap ebay amp 11 bucks spray paint 7 bucks an i already had the speakers,cigarette lighter socket an wire all that stuff was free so i got a total of 43.bucks into my built :) my quad already has a spot for the cigarette lighter socket an since added another one to charge what ever i am using to play the music with. It was wonderful to watch an instructional video without all the profanity, Thanks. I am about to build one with a radio installed (I hope). It will serve as the amp also. I will use heat shrink tube for the heat of AZ. Tape tends to slip. I will have only one wire coming out to the 12v supply thru a lighter plug.
