I'm about to build one from scratch following the same plan. I think I even bought the same knobs! Should have exactly what I need for about $50. Now I can buy some REAL Cadmium Lemon!

I used an old aluminum ladder . . . screwed a piece of 2X4 about 4 rungs from the bottom and a 1X4 upright (about 36” long) for a canvas support . . . hmmm . . . the contraption looks like an inverted “T” screwed on the ladder . . . cost: materials $0 - scrap wood lying about and screws were from my recycling box. I have an outdoor space where I paint so the “easel” can be folded up and leaned against a wall when I’m finished working for the day.

The Easels seem to be based on a tripod, wasted space. I want one just like the one you built that clamps onto any table (much more steady) where the bottom platform lowers beneath the table height - and the top accommodates my 3' canvas. Just like yours, but clamps to a table. I'd cheerfully pay for the design.

I rarely work on anything larger than 24x36", but it's actually surprising how it can hold a larger canvas!

It looks to be all standard aluminum stock you'd find at a larger hardware store. IE: aluminum square tube, angle bar, flat bar. I, too, wish the video had stated more about the individual parts during the build though.

Ok. So what will it cost for u to make me one and mail it to me? I cannot find a comfortable easil. Im a little older now and wouldnt be able to make my own. Or recommend one that actually works well

Yeah, if you want a good easel, and don't want to pay over 1000... you can make it for less than 100.
