Nice job! I made a stand for my grinder so I can roll it in and out of the garage as needed. What I did was turn the wheel upside down, setting the base closer to the ground, also leaving a “storage area” where I put my chains for my tractor when I plow snow in the winter. Carl

Looks a little tall to me, for me.... but that is what custom build is.... built for you, built for me !!! Making one like that this week, top of mount will be 24" for me... add height of vise and 30" or so... For me. Looks great and I'll follow some of your step too.... Thanks.

Rule of thumb for vice height is that the top is level with the elbow.

I like it its really straight forward and uses things that would otherwise be scrapped. Im trying to build ome with 3 legs, so when I move it from place to llace it never rocks. but I also want ti to be heavy enough to do some goof reefing on things. Im thinking maybe 4x4 steel tubing filled with concrete. maybe rail road rails.

Awesome! Make it happen! I agree the three leg would probably be better, this one had tipped over before when I had a long bar in it. Needs more weight on the bottom.

Just the stand is around 40-45lbs. Vice probably adds another 20lbs.
