there is an x99 itx board from asrock so you can get your extreme editions although overclocking would be limited and you might have trouble finding high wattage sfx power supplies so make sure the case supports atx or you might be capped at 500w

PC case buttons are not sensitive to which way round you connect the header cable. LEDs are sensitive to polarity, buttons are not. The buttons work by simply shorting the pins. Other than that, great stuff.
@GregSalazar8 жыл бұрын
I have mentioned that in some of my other build logs. Nonetheless, aligning positive to positive and negative to negative is still a healthy practice.
@SMAAAASHTV8 жыл бұрын
A 550 or 600W PSU would be ideal for this build as power supplies operate at optimal efficiency at around 50% load. The 430 would almost be maxed out in this build meaning, you're going have worse efficiency, thus more heat, which equals wasted energy.
@GregSalazar8 жыл бұрын
The maximum power draw is not near 430W. I'm pulling about 350W under load from the wall.
@SMAAAASHTV8 жыл бұрын
+Science Studio This is would be running at about 80% load on thr PSU and would still kill efficiency, but since this PSU is only 80+ white rated anyway, I'm guessing that's not a concern. As I said though, a higher wattage power supply would mean better efficiency and therefore less heat generated, hence a cooler system.
@GregSalazar8 жыл бұрын
Not much heat at all is generated by these PSUs under load. A lot of people tend to drastically overestimate their load power consumption. I went with the 430W to prove a point, otherwise I would have spent $5 more for a 500W. I broke down each part's individual power consumption in the video. Even with a safety factor of 1.5 (an extremely liberal estimate), we barely hit 450W.
@SMAAAASHTV8 жыл бұрын
+Science Studio Like I said, it's not only about heat, it's about the power efficiency and PSU operate at optimal power efficiency at around 50% load. I do understand that this wattage is more than enough to run the system, but the efficiency takes a dive at about 70% load. Of course you won't run into a situation with this setup to where wattage will be a concern.

@Bob-np9no8 жыл бұрын
with a h110m motherboard it shouldent cost much more
@ALESTAHD8 жыл бұрын
Lino Fragoso well I am in India so all parts cost like a 10 to 15 % more
@AtomicAJ748 жыл бұрын
+ALESTA HD I suggest putting the RAM decision/cost aside and plan for the future. The 6100 will allow you better upgrades in the future should the need arise; the 4160 is an older socket. My 3770K build doesn't hold a candle to my son's 6700K build, and there may be further LGA 1151 CPUs to come. Also, if you're going to use the built-in graphics the 6100 has superior graphics. When you factor in the RAM, DDR4 performance is better and going to get even better in the future (and hopefully cheaper). I think in the long run the higher cost of the 6100 and DDR4 will not only be worth it, you'll spend less money overall. This assumes you don't already have some DDR3 RAM that's perfectly good for a new build waiting for a home.

@Yokubasu8 жыл бұрын
+Aakash Gupta in your case, if you aren't planning to connect a lot of stuff to your motherboard just get an h110. It's cheaper and doesn't affect performance in any way whatsoever. It's almost universally accepted that asus provides the best quality motherboards. 2nd would be MSI and 3rd Gigabyte, in my humble opinion. Asrock is the cheapest but a lot of people have reported more issues with their motherboards than other brands.

mATX > mITX, IMHO. Almost all ITX cases are not so small when compared with their mATX competitors. mATX does not leave you with the single pcie 16x, which for someone looking for an upgradable computer, would be a better option.

It's an entirely subjective decision. Most aren't going to fill those extra PCIe slots with anything at all. And this case here just happens to be a very large ITX case.

@asummsumm8 жыл бұрын
as long as youre not overclocking the stock coolers should be fine but keep in mind that they are louder than aftermarket coolers
@swoosh30848 жыл бұрын
I think you'll be fine. The Intel cooler is loud but it gets the job done as long as you don't try to overclock it. You'll need a different cooler if you plan to do so. If the stock cooler doesn't get the job done, just use the cooler that you have or buy a different one. It's only like 30 bucks :P

It's an i7 6700, not a "k" model, thus not overclockable. A stock cooler should be fine.

I have this same case, Can some please explain how I can get the temps down on the 3060 GPU I am using, My 3060 is hitting temps of 84 degrees Celsius, I am having to take the side off when I on AMS 2 coz I am worried my GPU temp will creep up and up, Plus surely running temps in the 80s C cannot be good for longevity, I really cannot afford any more new parts now, I only got the 3060 12gb a few months ago, Plus the 12gb 3060 is dealing with every game I threw at it, So far I do think the Zotac 12gb 3060 is well worth the price for how much of an upgrade it is for the PC, I heard or read AMD equivalent to the 3060 in specs 6000 series is getting stuttering problems, I can't say for sure though as I ain't got an AMD GPU... Yeah can someone please explain how I can get GPU temps to in the 60s Degrees C and not 84 Degrees C, Or is the GPU hitting the 80s Degrees C going to create damage over time, I is even thinking of getting one of those GPU coolers you attach to the backplate, The backplate is getting hot, Hotter than I think it should be anyways, I think it is the case, The clearance from the PSU and GPU is not very much, About half inch clearance if that from the fans on the GPU to the PSU, I was even thinking of getting some more powerful fans for the front, Rather than the one big fan 3 powerful fans on the front, I think might just be better than just the one fan.... The CPU temps are amazing, I am using a Cooler Master V2 240 liquid cooler, Fantastic liquid cooler for the price, Plus it is RGB if you want, Turn it off if you don't, lol, Still a great liquid cooler, My i5 12600k CPU never goes past the 60 degrees Celsius with this Cooler Master V2, I would buy another one if I was doing another PC, I like the black MSI liquid cooler as well though, lol..... This Phantek case is pretty good apart from the GPU hitting 84 degrees Celsius this case is a tidy semi little PC case, Be aware of the GPU temps though, I couldn't imagine a Beefy GPU like a 4090 would even fit in this case with out using a riser or, Unless it was water cooled, But this case is designed with water cooling in mind apparently, lol, I am not that technical YET, lol.... Great video even if it looks like one of the first videos you put together, Hat's off sticking to it and following your dreams, you deserve all the success you get in turn bro...

The build in this video is leaps and bounds better than the specs you posted and only around $100 more. If you know how and where to shop, you're almost always better going with a core i5 vs a low end AMD FX chip. Not only the but the R9 380 would beat the pants off of the 750 Ti, and that's saying something as I'm team Nvidia.

+The D1zz And what cheaper mobo should i get?
@nateymcgeeleet70588 жыл бұрын
You can get the Define Nano S its the same price as this case and can hold almost the same ammount of hardware. But it's best to have a reference GPU for the Nano S since the GPU is very close to the GPU.
