I was soo excited to finally install a verso in my old korbanth k4 since it had a nice small form factor like a nano biscotte. Was pretty straight forward like my nec/plecter/proffie installs over the years, didnt think to check continuity since it was a fresh board. When I went to do the final step(always save battery for last) there was continuity between the positive/negative, removed everything, made sure there were no bridged connections(magnified), same thing, said maybe its supposed to be like that, re soldered everything, as soon as I put the battery the controller super heated in my hand, cut the battery cable as fast a possible in hopes of saving the board. Boards probably fried though, but what would cause that continuity? My solder joints were solid with no bridged connections, been soldering for 15+ years, just dont understand.

on the manual it calls for a led resistor on the neg wire for the activation button, but you didnt use one on the saber in the video, do i need to add that led resistor or can i just skip that bit?
@KRSabers3 жыл бұрын
It depends what the driving values of the led inside the switch are. The resistor is intended for the led inside. I used a switch with a white led and a resistor isn’t needed as the led can be directly driven since the output voltage of the pad is the same as the forward voltage of the led inside the switch. You only need the resistor if the led forward voltage inside your switch is less than approx 3.3v.

Rodney Miller The forward voltage of the white led inside of the switch is 3.3v and the positive pad it’s wired to has an output of 3.3v so no resistor is required.
