Will confirm later, but I think you saved my saber. Identified the blown MOSFET, and will move to pins 3 and 4. Hopefully this fixes the faulty blade colors/brightness/etc.

best proffieboard tutorial I've seen ever! and I have a question about quad-star blade wiring, the blade have four 144/Led stripes, the Welding idea is as same as two stripes LED? bridging (LED2+3) and (LED4+5) and connected to blade connector?

I've been soldering Battery (with kill switch) and NPXL to the same Battery+ pad on the Proffieboard. I've not witnessed anyone else wire their hilt this way and I've done this three times now. My question is; Am i making a mistake or missing a trick?

hi, in manual page 16 (Neopixel Accent LEDs wiring diagram, option 2) there is setup a single array of neopixel leds is separated into a couple of sub-blades. Why between this sub-blades we need to use resistors? we are using d1 pin witch allready protected. can i just use one neopixel strip and mark sub-blades in config and also not cut it for adding resistors?

Thank you ! I’m wondering why you bridged batt- and ground. I thought they are already bridged on the board. Also is it ok to use shtok connector for all the positive wiring ( junction). ?

U can also use 26 ga ptfe for data

You can, yes, but if you're short on space then using 32awg still works

For my 1st l/saber build (home made) I plan on a string LED (probably blue) blade. A 2nd build will utilize the neopixel (144 pitch) blade. Will the 2.2 board you are explaining here work with an LED blade? Does the board have the accelerometer chip, to creat changing blade positions? Thanks

Hello I have Anakin Ep3 Proffie v2.2 board with pre installed sound fonts I tried copying extra sound fonts folders on SD card directly via computer, but board not recognised extra files What is wrong? I think Proffie board needs to be connected via micro us and using Proffie OS?

hi, what wattage should i use for 470 ohm resistors? i got a 1 wattage resistor but i think it's too big.

I have question about how you wire up the kill switch. In your video you say to wire it back to the hilt PCB but it looks like it is merged with all the positive lines running back to the battery. I am not sure I understand how it is laid out in the manual.
@CsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
So whether you run it to the hilt connector or the battery, it doesnt matter, the positives on the neo connector are all bridged anyway, so it’s acting as a neater way to bridge the power going to the proffieboard
@noblenathaniel142 жыл бұрын
So if one of those fets are blown, but the rest of the board is ok, just rerout the wires to a different led spot and all should be well?
@CsWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Should be fine! Just obviously check for shorts before blowing another fet :p

Is using larger gauge wire (I.e. 26 gauge) a potential problem?
@connermeinke8767 Жыл бұрын
26 gauge is smaller that 20. If you use 26 on the battery it could cause issues. I’d recommend 24 gauge minimum. 22 would be better.

is it possible to use 28 AWG for the complete proffieboard?
@CsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
No, some of the power lines carry high amounts of current for extended periods of time, the thicker the wire, the more current can travel down the wire without overheating it. For major power like the neopixel blade youll need 22AWG most of the time, the proffie itself can go as low as 26awg, most other things can be run on 30 or 32awg, but its good to have different wire sizes to help you understand what you're building more visually, and being more safe at the same time!
@thawatsay3 жыл бұрын
@@CsWorkshop thanks for the answer, i guess i need more wires since i only got the 22 and 28 awg ^^
@CsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
@@thawatsay that should still work! just use 22 to power anything and 28 for everything else

Neopixle pcb to If you have 7 neopixle on a stip and one crystal accent and tie in to data 1 so all will mimic blade
@CsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's possible! personally i tend to have all of my strips acting seperately so that i can control them all individually from the proffieboard which really helps!
