I was keeping my v1 Kinect after seeing the fist sls camera ghost adventures episode….and they even said it was a Xbox Kinect Wish I kept it but let go of it when I got the good for nothing (until now) Xbox one Kinect lol

Is it possible to get an xbox camera to send wireless to a baby monitor via wiring xbox camera to the baby camera and bypassing the original baby camera? Make the XLS camera send video wirelessly through a baby video monitor. I guess the need for software would limit that possibility?

Windows 8.1 is recommended, but I use Windows 10 and it works fine.

Can you change the settings to use color in 3D?

I know you can change the color from black and white to multi-color when you fiddle around with the settings. But to display normal color like a camera would, I'm not sure. I'll have to play around with it to really find out.

v1 and v2 of the kinnect use 2 different methods to capture the information v2 uses a time of flight method with 3 inferred lights v1 uses a laser grid projection soo does this matter when setting this up ?

Hi,we have downloaded as you said all cables and software ok, The app runs ok we just cant get the connect on you said to a viewer theres a on and off for the connect is this in the app or on the connect its self,kind regards wayne.

Hmm, sometimes the adapter can be an issue... I recommend getting the Microsoft branded adapter instead of the off brand ones you see scattered across eBay. They are harder to find unfortunately, but I had that issue when first building my xls.

How do you convert the xls to run from batteries to make it more portable

Unfortunately, I don't know that answer. I'm sure that it's possible, and it would be very convenient.

Overall you should be able to convert the power to a usb. And even then you may be able to convert both to usb in theory and bypass the conversion box all together and power adapter as well. But that goes in to wiring and learning schematics.

So you don't need an outlet for a power source? You can just use a portable battery? I built my SLS but want to build this one next.

Yes, you would still need a power outlet. Some portable battery packs have AC power outlets, which we use to power ours. Unfortunately, i did not have it on hand during this video to showcase.

Yes, you can use an Xbox 360 kinect, you would need different cables and program on the tablet. We are going to make an updated video soon
