One great way to get good night vision is to buy an Akaso ET7000 action cam and remove the IR filter. Super easy to do. Add an IR light and they work fantastic. Around 80 dollars for the camera and about 25 dollars for the IR light. I use the Andeer ones off Amazon and also the Ordro IR torches work too. I find the Andeer is more than enough by itself. There are a bunch of what I would say beginner less expensive options. 1. Trigger objects (ex. if investigating a prison a toy badge or handcuffs) 2. Stuffed kids toy/bear that talks or makes noise (see if it will go off) 3. flour (sprinkle on floor leave it and come back to see if any prints), 4. cat toys are good (motion light goes off), 5. string an object (ex. ring) and hang it see if will move (be careful of wind) - but some of the best evidence i have captured is on cell phone.

You could try out some cat balls. They're for cats to play with but they work great for ghost hunts. They are motion activated lights when they get tapped, bumped or moved at all. Spirits can sometimes trigger them to light up without bumping them. They have a red button you click on and then just set them across the floor or wherever. Great starter tool and really cheep in costs.

Get yourself also a K2 Meter and a Mel meter and the P-SB7T Spirit Box!!! And if you can afford it, also get yourself an SLS camera!!! All of those pieces of equipment I mentioned are essential when it comes to paranormal investigations. Especially the K2 Meter and the Mel meter and P-SB7T Spirit Box!!!

The most important thing you're forgetting is a skeptical mind. You're coming into things with a mindset that ghosts are real. With that mindset, anything that happens you're going to attribute it to the paranormal.

The problem is with skeptics is that they try to explain everything away. Like @grymgaming said an 'objective' mind of clear headedness is better. I believe in the afterlife and spirits ive had experiences i didnt look for that were unexplainable if i had been a skeptic id probably have denied it. And im not saying that skeptics are bad i just think a nuetral state of mind is better. I may believe in the afterlife but i want it to be a genuine experience.

That's some good gear you have, the only thing i could think to add to it is an EMF detector; just remember that walkie talkies trigger those and gives you contamination while scanning.

Not just 2-way radios. Anythin' magnetic, near by power lines, local radio transmitters & mobile [cell] towers. Lightnin' strikes, the Earth's own magnetic field, solar flares & Sun spot activity [even at night]. All of the above can make an EMF meter fluctuate... I would focus on finding and capturing evidence to help find closure to the tortured family (if inside a still living house) instead of giving business cards out and stickers, lose the walkie talkie, not nessecary, everyone said it u need some sort of emf reader or measurer, maybe a thermometer

All "paranormal" & "ghost huntin'" apps are complete junk. They play into the "spooky experience" by usin' word banks that are biased towards said spooky experience... Ouija boards are just as useless. They are a fun board game owned by Hasbro. People usin' 'em are susceptible to somethin' called; The Ideomotor Effect. This is where small involuntary muscular movements are made by the unconscious mind... You have some very decent gear. You should seriously think hard about adding a rosary (best if blessed) to your kit. You have holy water, I hope actually from a church and not home made. You don't go to a battle with a rabbits foot, and leave your weapon behind. And one of your commenters said that spirits are eternal and yes they are, but there are things much older and much darker. The holy water is only effective in terms of the presence of a demon, and is not something to joke around with, ghosts r unaffected as they cant possess you, the rosemary bud and a cross is a staple for fending off evil spirts, its important to remember not all spirits u come in contact with r evil
