Nice! The more accurate the replica, the harder it will be to put it together (and often more expensive). A LOT of people are looking to find the exact same parts that were used on these cars. I bought the same blow off valve that was used on Brian's eclipse (a GReddy Type S). From that experience I learned that a lot of the stuff you'll be looking for will be discontinued. So what I usually end up doing is substituting different parts for more recent items that are so similar they might as well be the same thing.

What are your thoughts on the RB26 that was swapped into that mustang in Tokyo drift? And also the Supra from this movie? I've never heard a Supra sound that way in real life.

I thought the RB swapped mustang was a neat idea. I think it's hilarious that they had to make it a single turbo setup just so the whole thing could fit properly into the engine bay. As for the 2F2F Supra there are some things I like about it and some I don't. My guess is it's a version of the stock twin turbo sound (I prefer single turbo sounds like the orange Supra from the first film) but I love the TRD bodykit it had, the only thing I would've changed is swap the wing out for a regular TRD wing.

Although it does sound like they 2f2f skyline, it definitely does have a smoother timbre. And I really liked that wing on the 2f2f Supra. I don't think it was a twin turbo, but it didn't really sound like a single turbo either. Apparently it made 600+ hp.

Ellis Jackson Yeah I’m not sure because I can guarentee you the sounds they used came from a different Supra. But it sounded either stock or like a type of twin turbo setup, the note feels lower and more throaty to me than a single turbo 2JZ but I can’t say 100% for sure

SurF Silenc3r At first it appeared that way but topics like this there are a lot of claims and information and right now it appears that these modification are what you’d get to replicate the car in real life. If you want the sound of the car from the film you need to have a single turbo setup with an equal length exhaust manifold (preferably an HKS piece, but they’re pretty rare)

It really kinda depends. There are some Rb26 cars out there that sound like Brian's Skyline but they have single turbo setups and special cams (usually HKS). The ones I often see have HKS T04Z/T51R turbos or GReddy/Trust T88-34D single turbo setups. They sound great! An RB30 engine block might help but the key part is the conversion to single turbo. It should also be noted that they used some 2JZ single turbo sounds as well.

I believe it can make a difference but I’m not 100% sure. I don’t know if there used to be a full titanium HKS exhaust system or if only the muffler was titanium or something. Regardless of the exhaust you use you do need to get the turbo setup right. In order to get close to the movie sound you need an HKS T51R turbo or a T04Z turbo.

How much would it cost to get the car and to get the parts for it?

That really depends on how you go about building it and whether you're wanting it to be a full replica. In the Japan car auctions the R34 can go from 45k up to 100k depending on quality (wear and tear such as rust or damage) and rarity (super rare Nur Spec GT-Rs are always at least 80k). As for the parts I really can't say, a lot of them are disconinued. If you were to buy the C-West bodykit it would be as least $7120 USD (that doesn't include the hood since the film car used the stock R34 hood). The wheels are discontinued and you'll have to pay a crazy premium to any sellers you can find. Same goes for the original HKS twin turbos. All of the interior stuff was basically custom except for the seats. If you want the turbo kit that can get you the exhaust sound then look for the HKS T04Z special turbine kit (part number 11003-AN004) but bear in mind that kit is also discontinued and can cost as much as $10,000 USD. These are the parts I know about, building a Skyline like this requires a massive budget so hopefully the info I can provide you helps give you a taste. I'm personally going to try and source a T04Z kit for when I build a GT-R, they're good for 600 - 700 wheel horsepower and obviously they sound great. If you want to go old school and use a real Neon underglow kit the company they used )(StreetGlow) is still around and their kits aren't all that pricey, however I'd rather just use LEDs. Lots of people convert GTTs to GTR and put these parts on. They even do RB26 swaps. You'd be able to build a GTT into the 2 Fast 2 Furious car, in fact it would be very similar to the stunt cars they used since the all wheel drive was disabled.

A average GT-T ranges around 12k to around 21k excluding all of that insurance shit and here's the problem about owning such car it's right hand drive so finding insurance is going to be a bitch so if it's possible how much would the conversion be? How much would I be spending on all the visual upgrades plus minus including interior. Anyway if there is a way to convert the GT-T into left hand drive or something I would be good to go since Canada stopped providing insurance for new right hand drive cars... That's what I have been hearing of course.

A lot of the parts are discontinued but here are prices on the parts I know you can still get C-West bodykit will cost at the most 7120 USD A 550+ horsepower HKS GT-III twin turbo kit goes for about 3,400 to 3,900 USDA full HKS 2.8 Step 2 kit goes for about 7,000 USD If you want a sound similar to what you hear in the movie I recommend getting a single turbo kit. The GReddy T88 single turbo kit will go for 4,600 up to 6,000 (good for 600+ horsepower) If you’re going to convert a GTT to a GT-R you’ll also have to get GT-R fenders and badges and stuff. And if you want to go all the way you’ll have to figure out how to install the GT-R Multi-function display. As for converting to left hand drive I have no idea, I have no experience with that. And I'm not sure what goes into a GT-R conversion.

Yes all of the cars used in the film were Motorex imported R34 GT-Rs. However, only one of them was actually federally legal while the rest weren't made to comply with U.S. road laws to save money. Oh and the GT-R they used for the jump was imported from the UK because they didn't want to go through Motorex again because they took forever to even deliver the cars.
