Another tip. Hose down the dirt at the bottom of the form. The dry sand will leech the moisture too quickly.

I used some old quarter inch paneling strips 4” wide x 8' to stake out. Used spacers to keep 4” width every 18” and put a drain (gap) on the lowest spot to prevent ponding. Didn’t use re rod but probably should have. I will on the next one. Most say dont use the quickcrete because of the gravel, but I know the strength of concrete comes from the agregate so I recommend using it. It just a little more care to finish smoth but it is much stronger.

Nice diy video. Thanks for posting. I already bought one of those curbing trowels, but I wish I had done this instead. A little more work with the digging and forms, but I like the finished result on yours better. This process is more forgiving on the wetness is f the concrete as well. I also like how you used the old pieces of concrete to fill space. I almost always do that too, so thanks for confirming my frugal nature. Also, the music was fine, you did a good job of editing. Thanks again, can’t wait for the next video.

I just subscribe to your channel I have a question on the inside of the trench where you have the boards up against where the tree is how you holding them their steady I mean I didn't see you put no steaks in that side is it the wedges that you're putting between the boards boards holding the boards up against where the tree is and the landscape around the tree
