When you do not have credit to begin with, you are often left with no one willing to give you a loan. If you cannot get a loan then you cannot build your credit. People with less than a 600 FICO credit score typically obtain a secured credit card. Now, there is also an alternate loan you can obtain to increase your credit score faster.
Self Lender sells a product called a credit builder loan that are traditionally sold by credit unions and community banks. It is essentially a loan to yourself where you make payments to yourself that gets funneled to a CD account. At the end of a 1 year term, the money is accessible to you and you can do as you please with the money. Please see the video for more details.

Pls do a follow-up video on what to do at the end of the cycle when you get a lump sum check. I'm planning to go for the 550$ CD. Also, besides the amount, how much better is it to get the $1100 CD VS the $550? Does that reflect differently on your CR? Thank you

Thanks for sharing. I tried to create an account with Self Lender however they are not available in my state (NY.) Do you have similar 'self lending' solution for me?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 8 жыл бұрын
I'm not aware of any state restrictions as you only need to be a US Citizen or Permanent resident to qualify. Are they giving you a prompt saying you are not qualified? Of course, alternative credit builder loans could be had through local credit unions as well. That would require you to find some local ones and check if they have such things before opening up an account.

hey dude I have a question for you. for the past year I have been trying to increase my credit score from 523 and I managed to get to 653 within 6 months. for some reason now my score won't increase its stuck at 653 I never miss my payment. So my question is what can I do to get 720 which is considered good range.i need to apply for more credit. I currently only have one card with 500 limit and my student loan of 10000. Any advice on how to get a credit card with my score of 653? and how to increase my credit also. please help. thank you I appreciate it alot.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 8 жыл бұрын
One card with only a $500 limit will get you stuck there. You really need to have more cards and more types of credit. Have you applied for more cards such as a Discover? Have you applied already but got rejected? To address the types of credit, you can just do the Self Lender credit builder loan as well. If you spend say 200/month on that card and pay it off every month, you will be creating a running balance have have a high utilization rate compared to your credit limit. Have you asked for a credit limit increase?
@suleeqabilan

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah I have asked for an increased with capital one and they said I don't have the for a year yet for them to do the increase. I'm from Canada and I don't know if discover card Canadians can get.... It might just be American. I have applied for a card when my credit score was lower than what I have and I got rejected. I don't want to do many hard inquiries in short time. I just recently got hit with 3 hard inquiries because I applied for a car loan. Do you know any card Canadians can apply?

Samiya Bilan Not too familiar with Canadian cards since I do not live there. You may want to look for credit builder loans to help. Other than that, time is what makes your score better since building a good score takes many many years.

Does closing the CD Account (after you withdraw the money post maturity of 12 months) affect the Credit Score? Thanks in advance.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
+Ashwin Lunkad You do not have direct access to the CD account and the account is closed automatically for you after the 12 months. So at the completion of the self lending term you would have fulfilled you obligations and so it is a positive effect on your score. You can go for extra credit after this and do another term but the improvement effects will be a bit less than the first time around.

you have very good videos. i have recnetly gone through this, as a junior in college (at 19) i decided it was time to establish credit. after 6 months of being denied for every card, i finally broke down and applied for a a capital one secured, only because they offered the smallest security deposit. i was making decent money for a college student and was suprised i was denied all student credit cards. anyways, after 5 months of maxing the cards $200 limit and paying it off, they froze my account. they said i payed it off too much. i told them it was worthless then and to close the account. well the next day i had a $500 credit limit! well two months after that no one would give me a card yet. until amex gave me a $1000 limit on a blue last september. in november thwy raised it to $2,000 so just last month i applied for a non secured from capital one. denied. immediately i cancelled thwir secured card. every mastercard bank had denied me for 10 months since i had the secured card. so i applied for another amex card, and was instantly approved for $2,000 credit limit. so i was up to $4,000 unsecured. then, a week later a bank thats supposedly hard to get in with gave me a card with another $2,000. so in 11 months i gained $6,000 in unsecured cards and a credit score of 720. i honestly believe when banks see a secured card on the credit report, they instantly assume your predisposed to accept only a secured card offer from them.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
When you say 6 months, I sounds like you keep on applying which gets you hard inquiries. This in turns reduces your credit score and makes it harder for you to get the card you want. 'Payed it off too much' ha ha ha. I recommend to use it close to the limit in my video for College Students as well in order for them to increase your limit. Interesting point that they check to see if you have a secured card on your record which may indicate a risky customer. I.e. you have a secured card because you had bad credit at one point. Also of note is that I think they look at your age and your address to see if you are a student and of which college university. The more respectable the school, the less risk. In other words, all that you see on your credit report and anything they can guess or infer about you is used. Glad you are able to climb up so quickly in your credit limit. I myself did it pretty slowly starting with an unsecured discover card. I didn't really care about credit back then and just used it responsibly.

I had a $1000 secured card for a year, applied for am unsecured loan through First Interstate (same bank)was turned down! ! I withdrew the money/closed the account, added my name to my friend's card, got offers in the mail, and now have my own credit building. I agree with you about secured card. it might have helped, but once it was gone, more opportunities arose. I am leery to add this now for the same reasoning. would love to hear how it affects someone with a 700 score. I'm still trying to get my credit back. might have to go in debt for a car to get different credit. I know once you buy a house, you are home free in the credit world! I'll be there again! thanks for the info.

Do you need to be employed or have a source of income to get approved with this program? i am trying to build a credit history since i don't have one yet. i tried applying in wells fargo for secured card i still don't know yet if i'm approved, i also opened a regular savings account there too. they asked for employment which i'm not yet so the officer couldn't guarantee for approval of the secured card so i'm still waiting if i'm approved or not.

Nope, you just need to be able to pay the payments. They do not check your credit. You might want to put in your incoming student loan money as part of your income as that counts as income. I.e. money you would use to buy ramen, late night snacks, books, etc.

FYI.... Opened an account with SelfLender. Took almost 2 months to report onto all 3 CRA's. Lowered Equifax -8 to 724, TransUnion -6 to 705 and Experian -1 to 702. I got these 3 scores via my myFICO monitoring service. I'm sure scores will go back up with time and payments so, just glad you mentioned SelfLender as a no inquiry loan option, to improve credit scoring overall.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Those few points might be due to other factors. Your score is high enough that the positive effects will not be as great as someone around the 600s. A few months in and you should notice a bit better performance.
@CharlesINTEL
@CharlesINTEL 7 жыл бұрын
Again, #1, I'm very glad that you made this video! As far as the scoring decrease, yes, sometimes I noticed that scores can change for "other factors." As far as the myFICO ($29.95 monthly service), you can get the score change alert and associated change factor so, I could tell what occurred. For one month, I paid also for the monitoring services from Equifax + Experian + Transunion (yes pricey to test) but, I canceled all 3 and kept myFICO for the real scores and multiple scoring models. Two days ago, I applied for the Chase Sapphire card. I was informed, "pending review" and early this morning, I see the card is now in my Chase app with a $7,500 limit (so approved). The myFICO alert just a few minutes ago informs me a new Experian inquiry, -3 points and a balance decrease on a BoA credit card by $76. I'm not close to an expert but, myFICO sends me an alert almost every 2 days with any changes. I'm not promoting the service, think it's a little pricy (pricier than the direct CRA versions) but, I like seeing what my credit related actions/inaction affect my scores. I'm sure that my credit score will improve due to SelfLender and am excited about seeing that make an increase too. I really wanted a loan to balance my "types of credit" versus just credit cards. Thank you again! My apologies for the long post however, I wanted to explain how I can see changes.

@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
It depends if you can comfortably afford the payments. You generally do not want to stretch yourself too thin and have enough extra cash for buffer every month. Having multiple types of loan (not just a single car loan) helps your credit so doing this will help it in addition to what you are doing.
@bekiro28

@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
The scoring system takes all these factors into account all at once. The only limiting factor is your ability to keep it all straight and make on time payments. So it's really if you can juggle these items without it feeling burdensome. And btw, the Self Lender loan does cost money (I think it was ~$75 after you finish the loan and get the self loan paid back to you) as I mentioned in the video but it's a cost for people what wants their score to get better in a hurry. If you have lots of time, you can just use your credit responsibly for many years like I did to get a high score.

Kind of late to this party, but would there be any benefit to getting a secured credit card first and using that to make the payments on the SelfLender loan? Instead of paying the money directly to SelfLender, funnel it through the secured card. I mean, if I'm going to spend the money anyway, might as well make it work twice as hard, right?

I have scores in the 700 range but I am trying to get to 740+. I have an Amex, discover, and two cap one cards with 14k total. My fico says my score is this low because I have no other types of accounts. I have a few hard inquiries and an avg of 5 years of credit with my oldest card being at 9 years old. Would it be wise to try to get a personal loan for around 1k to have a mix of credit? I'm worried about the inquiry hurting me or the new account hurting my avg age of credit. Is self lender a good idea?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, probably. Or a mortgage, car loan, student loan. I advise against a car loan though and a student loan is not like you can just get one out of the blue. A mortgage is hard too because that is more like a life event rather than what you go after. Self Lender doesn't does not check your credit because they hold your money as collateral. There is no way they can loose because you pay them a fee up front and keep on making payments. If you ever default, they just liquidate the CD they have for you. So yes, it's a good idea to increase your types of credits with a credit builder loan. Btw, a personal loan is a different thing because for a personal loan, you get to hold the money. For Self Lender, you do not get to hold the money.

hello , i got a question and is ,if my credit score is 640,is still good do a self lender program? would it raise ?or it only work to rebuild credit like if some 1 have less than 600. please answer ^_^
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
640 is the perfect time to do a Self Lender program since it's low enough that it will give you a great boost from that point. This program is most effective for lower scores so it can likely help a score of 600 even more. You do have to make sure you keep all your credit in good standing by always paying all your cards in time. Even better if you can pay off all your debts.

You should not use a credit builder loan if you owe money. The best bang for your buck is to pay off the collections first to get that off your record. You would get more point increase per dollar that way.

Should I consider this if I have a FICO score of 723? I'm relatively new to credit but was able to achieve this score as an authorized user. I heard that installment loans help increase scores by 30+ and wondering if it would help with the types of credit factored into a FICO score. I have 3 unsecured credit cards with limits ranging from 500-1000.

Would it be better to have an auto payment to the loan using an existing secured card? Then the next billing cycle, transfer money from your saving to the secured card to cover the earlier payment. This way you get two on time payments for the same $97 per month.

I don't think you can do that. You can only pay with a checking account because charging on a credit card cost the receiver money.

Pay down to $2.01 before statement date not $2.00. You wait until the statement cycle ends. You can start using it the day after the statement cycle ends.

I did a secure loan with my credit union when I started fixing my credit. This seems like a secured loan for people who don't have the cash to put up for the loan with their bank or credit union, correct?? I put up $1000 and my credit union gave me the loan and spread the payments of $57 over 18 months at 4%. They took the $1000 and gave me $1000 back, which i put in my account to pay the $1000 loan. The interest is less than $50 and it is also set off by the interest on the $1000. This way, I not only help my credit score, but i am also strengthening my relationship with my personal credit union for the future. That product only seems good for people who don't have any cash to put up. Very informative info, Thanks!!!
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is very similar to that and it's also called a 'credit builder loan'. For a secured loan it does require a big initial outlay so that would be the disadvantage. It seems having the initial amount to put in like you say is not feasible for most people.

I have 5 questions 1. Ultimately which one is better the secured credit card or the secured loan? 2. I went ahead and did a secured loan with my bank for$200 and it's for 6 months. Should I pay off the loan in 6 months or does it look better to pay it off faster say in 3 months? 3. On my credit karma app I checked and it says the bank that I did the loan with made a hard inquiry. Should I be worried? Will it go away once I pay off the loan? 4. Is it better to pay off the monthly loan bill early before the due date? And pay a bit more than what the agreement says? 5. I am planning on buying a car and would probably finance. Should I wait until after I pay the loan? Or can I do both at the same time?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
1. depends on your credit report and it's composition 2. pay it off slowly, you want the long history 3. no it will fall off after 2 years. a few inquiries is not the end 4. pay off more to reduce the interest paid, reduced credit utilization helps your credit score. 5. don't finance a car. you can certainly do both if your credit score is good enough to get you a low rate.

Thanks for the video i am learning something new i just opened a self lender account and im trying to build credit i been stuck at 662 with my accounts 2 secured cards 5 months is the oldest. I been stuck at that score for 2 months now so i figured i tried Self Lender since some odd reason capital one increased my APR from 24.99 to 26% apr i was like???? i started with 0 credit. Now my biggest fear is if i pay off my loan within a year and it gets closed on my credit report will my credit score drop? or self lender is just for proof on making payments?
@BeatTheBush

Credit card monitor credit activity and they may raise it if you default on a credit line. They also raise interest rate by themselves and might not be the result of activity. I get mine raised all the time but I don't really care, neither should you if you never carry a balance. They can raise it to 50% for all I care, lol. But I wouldn't like it, just in case. If you pay off your loan, you will see it increase due to lower utilization. Self Lender will help it increase even after you pay it off.

A couple years late but they might have raised it due to fears surrounding the economy. I remember back around the 2008 recession that they jacked up the rate to 30 something percent on lots and lots of people. My mom used to work for capital one back then, this was midsummer of 2008 before the stock market crashed.

This may be a strange question, but how is your credit score calculated? Is it computer generated? If I pay off collections (1) medical about$400, am currently paying back a small federal school loan, no missed/late payments. And had no credit cards, but just applied/approved for 2 how quickly will that boost my credit score? Can it only be boosted a certain amount a month, quarter, year?

All of this is recent. Paid off collections and applied for the card within this month. And have been paying on my student loan for 4 months.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
it's generated with a proprietary formula but people have an idea of what it is generally comprised of. Applied for 2 cards will bring your score down from the hard inquiries. Paying off collections is good and having your school loan in good standing is good. Its hard to say how much it will increase but if you start from a low score, its easier to increase than from a higher one.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
You have a lot of moving parts going on with a lot of things very recent. You also have different things that are either helping or lowering your score at the same time. So if you do the self lender thing, it will just be another thing that helps your score.
@Cyraxsify

I've watched your videos before, and believe you definitely know your credit. In other words, your accumulated opportunity cost-of-capital mathematically can be represented as 12 (1.001) + 97 * S-angle-12 at 0.000083 ~= 1176.55. Thus (given a few assumptions), the NFV is 1101.10 - 1176.55 ~= -75.45. That is, you end up forgoing $75.45 in the long-run. So the question is to ask yourself: am I willing to spend $75.45 so that I can potentially raise my credit score? (A way to answer this question is to measure your expectation; namely, how much, maybe, will your credit score increase.)
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Correct, there is a cost to use this in the form of a fixed initial fee and an interest you do not get back. It hard to say how much one is willing to pay for the increase since it depends on your current score and what you plan to do with it. It can be though of as a 'rush' fee where you are rushing to get it higher. If buying a home or car, those points could be critical and end up saving thousands in interest rate reductions.

Hey Great video. I am a non-u.s. citizen who has been in the U.S. since 2008. I tried to sign up for selflender but was not able to do so, since they require u.s. citizenship/permanent residence status. Do you know of the best/fasted way of building credit (besides a secured credit card) as a non-u.s. citizen? I would love to use selflender but I am not sure if by "permanent resident" they mean a "green card holder" or a "permanent residence for tax purposes" which I am. When I am filing my taxes, I am filing them as a U.S. resident (according to the IRS code). If selflender does not work out for me, are there any other companies that offer similar products available to non-u.s. citizens you know of? thank for your help!

What is stopping you from signing up? Can you just not click forward and see if they accept your application? If you cannot you can always try credit builder loans at local credit unions. You actually take out a loan instead rather than pay yourself with a fee as in Self Lender.

Please check back with us in the future." Do you know what they mean by "permanent residents"? Green card holder or is it good enough if the U.S. is my tax residency country? ( I send them an e-mail by the way asking about that) Other than that, any thoughts if I can get a similar loan somewhere else? I really want to improve my credit score much faster as opposed to just using a secured credit card? Thanks

Ignore this 30% rule. I have no idea who made that up and it's confusing the heck out of everyone. It's great as a rule of thumb but not the best for everyone. In reality, 0% utilization is much better. More info here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqqlm5afr5lgsMk And then if you have a low credit limit, I actually recommend 100% utilization because this forces a limit increase quicker. Hello Mr.Beat the Bush, I am in the process of building my credit over the past few months and have seen an increase of over 100 points within the last 3-4 months. The problem is that I was very reckless with credit when I was younger so I have a few charge off/collections on my credit report... I currently am making a Car payment of $300 every month which I have not missed a month, I have a Victoria secret credit card for over 7 years which I have not missed a payment on, and I put my student loans in deferment. I am hoping to buy a house within the next year. My question is would getting a loan like this be better for my credit score vs applying for a bad credit credit card like Credit One Bank? Or should I do both? I am hoping to get my score at 700 it is at 612 right now? What should I do? I watch a lot of your videos and trust your advice. Thank you.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. I assume when you say apply for a 'bad credit, credit card'', you mean a secured card. Both are good to have and you do not have to do one or the other, you can do both to make the score go up higher faster. Question is if you can make the monthly Self Lender payments comfortably, if you can then you can do both.

I think having a mortgage with a year or two of on time payments will help your score go up higher. You need more type of credit lines and selflender is one way to do it. But it being so high, it will be hard to increase it by a lot. So I'm guessing 10-20 points after 6 months with that.

hi i currently have a credit score of 645 i have had a secured card of 200$ CL for 4 months (started reporting after 2 months) which i have been paying on time and keeping the utilization low. i have no other credit accounts, collections or anything as i started at 0. how much of a score increase do you think i will see if i use the self lender option?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 8 жыл бұрын
On average, you get about 35 points increase in about 4 months after using Self Lender. After doing it for a year it is expected to gain about 65-70 assuming you started at a lowish score. Since yours is not terrible, you might see a little less increase. Also, since you have a low limit secured card, I recommend to apply for another one just to get more limit if you can. Also, apply the principles in this video to get your limit increased: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqmqdnalhtR_gqM

From what I've seen is that the action of paying something every month matter more than the amount. The 2x plan will not give you 2x the points. I estimate it'll give you 5-10% more. So go with the cheaper one.

You really should try this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6XXgn6wo8ykpac Also, try to get an unsecured card at some point. You want to cancel all secured cards at some point because the presence of them on your credit report looks bad.

Hi, I have never had a credit card so I probably don't have a credit score. I am still a student so I also have student loans. What would be the best secured credit card to apply for? I want to also do the credit builder loan, I have a credit union account so should I just go through there to get it? How does my current loans affect my credit score coming up?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Sometimes you might be able to skep a secured credit card all together depending on your credit score. I started by getting added to someone's card for a few years and then got my won discover. You can indeed go through the credit union to get a secure card but you might just want to bypass all that and try for an unsecured and try your luck. Current loans in good standing will help your credit score.

I can afford payment actually my payment history is current 99%. I'm afraid if I participate my score will decrease. Any advice

Hello, I have not credit history. How long will it take affect to start see the score go up with self lender? can I see my credit score balance monthy with them? I'm thinking in make a loan with self lender and request a Discover it secured credit card at the same time? is a good strategic to make my credit grow up faster?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Typically, after you start the self lender account, you see it on your report withing 60 days from the first due date. Depending on what the Discover It secured card requires, you might want to wait until you have something for a credit score. Secured cards do sometimes require a credit score although the bar is much lower but it's not zero.

I'm a little confused. You pay $12 to start. Then link it with your bank account. Do you need a saving account for this? I have money in my checking but not savings. They take the money and then keep it while you pay it off.. can I use my checking account to pay it off? Then they give you the money back at the end of the year and take their fees...
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
No you just need a checking. You can use your checking to pay it every month. Correct, they charge a fee for this service and will also take a partial fee if you decide to end it early.

Also I know this is a little unrelated but I'm out of options. I have a few accounts in collections (all medical related) would it be better to pay off my oldest account.... Or close out the cheapest since technically they would be closed quicker? Or do I start doing payments to each of them? Can I still contact the original company? If I'm offered a discount price from a collection agency and they say that they will close the account and mark it paid in full is there a catch to this?
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
If they offer you a discount price for the amount due, you really should take it. It sounds like normal practice to at least get some money back from the borrower when the account is in collections. The most money efficient way is to pay lowest interest rate first while making minimum payments on everything. However, the number of accounts opened has a huge psychological effect on how much progress you feel like having. So paying off the smallest debt first will make you feel good in closing out some accounts first and it gives you a feeling a good progress.

History is more important than a amount of the loan. Just you want more months of payments rather than this $20k sum you talk about.

Hmm paying $75 for an increase in my credit score rebuild doesn't seem financially wise. How about opening your own money market/ trading account and or a simple Traditional IRA if not both? I'd be willing to bet that those options (which are free) will help more and not cost you a dime.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's financially unwise because it depends on your situation. If you want things fast and if it'll end up saving you more than that from the decrease in interest rate then it is wise. Now, you could do it all the same with the slow method of just being financially responsible and pay your bills on time for many years.
@radishpineapple74
@radishpineapple74 7 жыл бұрын
Credit rating agencies don't care about how wise you are with your savings accounts or investments. They care about payments to lenders, and that's what gets reported to credit rating agencies. This kind of service is for those in the catch-22 situation where they need a loan to increase their low credit score, but can't get a loan because of their low credit score.

Good imput Bird. I guess I should've clarified that I just meant that the IRA's/ trading accounts are a bit of an insurance policy to the lenders as an asset is collateral.

Yep, what Bird said. Lenders look at your FICO and FICO doesn't factor in you assets accounts.

Hi, will paying the $1100 loan back within 3 or 4 months help improve my credit score or is it best to do over a years time?
@BeatTheBush

It's best to do it over a years time. You are demonstrating responsible and consistent financial behavior which is not a spurt of 3/4 months. So you want to just complete the self loan as it is for best effect.

When building credit is it wise to cancel credit cards before the annual fee is charged? Also, is canceling the card the same as canceling the card account? Which, to my understanding, canceling a card account can negatively affect credit history.
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
When building credit, you should not cancel before the annual fee is charged. You should instead avoid getting an annual fee card in general so you wont be paying all the time. I don't see a difference between cancelling the card and the account, its the same thing. You could potentially have two cards with the same company but you normally just refer to a specific card when cancelling. Cancelling a card does negatively affect your credit score but do a differing degree depending on how strong the rest of your credit history is. Hope that helps. =D

Congratulations to everyone and thanks for the information. However, that's strange though? I tried this previously about a year ago and customer service basically said I needed credit? ( that I needed to get on file with Experian?) in other words, *NEED CREDIT* Tried again a few minutes ago to sign up but, the site states that *I can't be authenticated online which is the same exact thing that happened last year! and I don't owe with ChexSystem or anything! They are a JOKE in my opinion and should be sued for FALSE ADVERTISING!

Hey BeatTheBush, So I went through bankruptcy just a little over a year ago. I was able to get a credit card with Capital One just a month or so after. I currently have about a 670 credit score. I also have about 10 inquiries on my credit report since I had to apply for a car loan about 6 months after my bankruptcy. Just wanted to know if you thought a self lender like this would help my situation? Not sure if this would be a hard inquiry against my credit and if it would be worth it. I would love to be able to buy a house by next year, so willing to do what it takes even if I lose a little money to build a little more credit faster. Any other advice would be much appreciated also. Thanks for the awesome video's!
@BeatTheBush
@BeatTheBush 7 жыл бұрын
Yes it definitely would. There's not credit check from self lender. So I would definitely try it in your situation. Is capital one a secured or unsecured card? Try my build credit fast with a low score or limit here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6XXgn6wo8ykpac You can also boost the score but it's only temporary every month you do it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqqlm5afr5lgsMk
@jaypomec2805
@jaypomec2805 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response, and the capital one is a unsecured card. They upped my limit to 3k after 6months of on time payments. Hoping after a year they will up it again and if not I'll ask for that. I was thinking of doing the pay before the statement date this month. Only thing I'm worried about with that is I thought you said its only a temporary boost paying before the statement date, so not quite sure if its worth it in my situation since it will go back down.(?) Also since I have a 3k limit now do you think I should stay around the 30% range of spending each month?(as I hear most say to do) Or try to spend as much then pay it all off in full? lol Spending 3k every month would be pretty hard to do, but maybe I can for 1 month just to help boost it if that's the case. Right now I'm willing to do what it takes to get me back to good credit score for next year.
