Awesome video! I can tell you care a lot for the wellbeing of your animals, and that's always great to see! I got a BRB today, and it has always been one of my dream snakes to own. I'm not aware of the sex, but it's just a baby and I got it a nice large terrarium covered in foliage for lots of hiding spots. I'm relatively new to keeping snakes, but I've kept reptiles for about seven years. I'm excited to take the next step up, and luckily my house is usually 60-70% so humidity isn't a nightmare for me. With my bearded dragons and leopard geckos however, I have a problem.

I don't use tap water, either; only spring water for my kiddos. But, I do use tap water when I bathe them, which is necessary when they decide to be graffiti artists and leave their logo ALL OVER their enclosure (I'm sure you know what I mean) In that case, I use "Repti Safe" drops, which supposedly makes the tap water safe for reptiles. Your little BRB is just adorable. I love how he perched on your drill and just watched you. Too cute!

It's hard to keep the humidity up especially with a screen top. It may not show up on your hygrometer but I've found that slightly soaking half hollow logs in water and placing miss inside humidity becomes a lil more manageable

Ummm...how can they get into the hide if there isn't an entrance? The humid hide is supposed to go in their terrarium.

+Teven Wright This is just a box that you put in their actual terrarium. Basically like a separate room in their "apartment " which just gives them the option to go somewhere REALLY moist and humid since they are tropical snakes , they love that stuff .

so this looks as if it would work for a lot of types of snakes , and I was wondering if the humidity is required for corn snakes, I mean obviously it wouldn't harm it, but I was wondering if the requirements vary based on the type of snakes

Brazilian rainbow boas require extremely high humidity but corn snakes are most likely okay with whatever humidity your house is at. The best way to tell that the humidity is too low is if they shed and the shed doesn’t come out as one piece.

Not to be an ass hat, but I keep rainbow boas and I don’t use a humid hide, I have a boa room with a humidifier setup that cost less than 100 and keep that room at about 90 percent humidity
