@@RPRsChannel Because my crafting storage space is already limited. I am working out of my kitchen and my wife doesn't want 5 gallon tubs laying around the place. I buy what I need as I go, its a small price to pay for my wife's sanity.

I am currently making a massive 3 ft by 6 ft Moria build from east gate to khazad dum. So of course I had to see this build. Bark is a nice trick. Love your attention to detail. Hope you enjoy the hobby as I do and take time to use that awesome terrain with friends.

@@Nat1videos sadly no. Similar to your situation I got back into the hobby this year. I had about five hundred games workshop models sitting around with very little terrain and a lot of time...I do plan on making a youtube or instagram page to display all my modelling terrain.

Start on something small! It really doesn't take as much time and effort as you might think. Check out my channel for the standing stones tutorial, very easy and not too time consuming. Once you have done one you will realise ;)

I got directed to this video by The Broken Sword. I am not really into making models but I was fascinated just watching you build that entire set from scratch. You use organic material to texture inorganic things such as rocks and stones. Very cool concept. And I will never ever look at a piece of bark on the ground the same way as I did before seeing this video. lol Thanks, it was very enjoyable.

Here's a link to a short movie I did the special FX for, each frame was done individually requiring 5 layers to do the rotoscoping in photoshop by hand one frame at a time.... a mammoth task !.. particularly as it was 30 frames per second , it took bloody ages !! Very nicely done! Having just recently crawled through Moria, AGAIN, with the Lord of the Rings online game, it brought back many fine memories. Also goes to show that, building your own 3D scenarios is 100% more fun than your typical 2D cardboard gaming maps, makes those game sessions far more enjoyable.

So details. I like watch diaorama vids. But to make one so details like this, i dont have the patient such motivation. Haha. But your vids great. 👍
