The concern about locking out your knees on the hack squat or leg press is valid, some people slightly hyperextend their knees when locked out fully which can result in insanely painful injury. We've all seen that video of that guy breaking both legs on the leg press.

I hyper extended my elbow during a kickboxing fight. Guy threw an axe kick he was about 15kg heavier brought me down caught myself with one arm and it flex in and out really quick. The amount of force it would take to hyper extend your knee is going to take allot. Weak positions, leverage of where the pressure is placed a funny angle etc a hack squat keeps your legs perfectly under your body so your knees never lock out with shear force pushing them backwards or at a funny angle

Locking out is negative not in terms of knee health, but in terms of taking tension off of the quads. The general notion is to keep the tension on the worked muscles during the range of motion. That's all..

Why in this workout mike didnt put leg curls at first??? in the first video he said that is better put leg curl before because I does not compromises te rest of quads dominant lifts, so why he quit it?
@VT5874
@VT5874 4 жыл бұрын
I think he staggers them. If your doing curls to failure or zero reps in reserve you would use them later in the workout. But on a little curl day, he will fo them first. I could be wrong, but i think he was talking about it on his channel.
