I let a dietitian talk me into trying intuitive eating some years back. The two months that I tried it, my diet consisted primarily of corn dogs, Oreos, Coke-Cola, Burger King, and lattes. All intuitive eating did for me was confirmed what I already knew: I have the palate of a teenage athlete who just got his first car.

You are by far the best personality I could take advice from. Thanks for your content. I've been doing this "I hate myself enough to change" thing for 13 months now, and you have been a super huge part of my transformation. I went from "never got picked for a single team in school" to "all my coworkers only want to be on my softball team". It's absolutely amazing, it's totally been worth the discipline needed to diet, supplement shitty chalky protein constantly, and listen to advice that sounds like it was formulated with a crayon by homeless children in the park. Great video, I disagree with the " no cardio " aspect. Should always do bit of cardio 15-20min 1-2 times a week whether trying to gain weight or lose it.i stopped doing cardio for 10 years, I feel soo much better just doing a little bit now. Your heart is most important muscle, dont neglect it. Also keeping fitness level helps lose weight when you want to cut as you burn more calories in shorter duration.

The issue with “eating by Intuition” is people have been eating incorrectly for so long they can’t tell the difference between being hungry and being thirsty. I’d say the bulk of the time when you “feel hungry” your body is asking for water.

Thanks, Ryan. First time I've heard a trainer saying out loud that diet and training intensity are the keys to gaining muscle and losing bodyfat, and there's no need for Cardio. Before Covid I got down to 6% bodyfat and I haven't gotten onto a bike or even broken into a run since 2012. Enjoying incorporating the exercise tweaks that are beginning to get me back to that place, now I've thrown away the potato chips again...

I started doing cardio last September and dropped 17 pounds by the end of March. I figured out right away, calorie deficit is a must! And working out 10-12 hours after I last ate was the key. I wasn't trying to build muscle at the time. I just wanted to lose the belly. While I am still chubby mess yet I am now trying to plan my winter months. Now, I have found these videos and am trying to understand most of your terminology hahaha. Saturday's are my only day off work until snow flies. Here, I sit on my day off trying to make a plan for the winter months. Come next April, it'll be back to working 16 hours a day. I'll have 4 months to get into a shape that isn't round. Then trying during next summer to maintain it

Just found the channel recently. Only watched a couple videos but love the channel!! Firstly, the humor is just off the chain hilarious. That said I also feel it speaks volumes about some of these ridiculous fitness claims that are being put out there. The information is invaluable and the delivery is absorbable for all levels and entertaining. I would challenge your comment about not doing cardio. I do agree that learning how to manipulate your nutrition successfully is most important but for those of us that are endomorphs or others with just horrible GPP cardio will be important and beneficial. If your GPP is so bad you crash after 2 sets ez bar curls then you're never really going to be able to make that mind muscle connection effective.

I have had the same body fat around my middle/love handles, and back for over 40 years...I've been working on my calorie deficit for and it seemed to work...body has slimmed down a little...not to enough to make any impact on the love handles. now MY arms are CRAzy thin..I've always had thin arms but now they are pencil thin... also My diet is mostly of lean protein about one gram to every pound I weigh. 145 at 5 10 work out a split body routine 6 days a week ..an hour a day. how do I get rid of the love handles and not lose any size in my arms

I'm 61 and still putting a little muscle on. My waste is 34-36 and will probably stay that way .5'10 215 and I eat pretty good but I like a little treat at night and being my age I'm not going to worry about it. But here in Florida I usually get the waist smaller in the summer because I workout outside and love to sweat. And just watching this guys videos I've learned a lot .

Going back to construction after a few months off, I lost about 10 pounds in a month but I gained muscle strength and size undoubtedly. My forearms shoulders and traps seriously felt like they grew 25% my boxers were also tight on my thighs for the first time in a long time. I am now maintaining that weight just by chance, and still noticing gains just from work now 3 months in.

Ryan Humistan: Should I reduce my three meals a day to two in order to reduce body fat production? Morning: (2-3) 6" x 1/4" pancakes no dressing; Mid-day: mashed potato (crushed potatoes with skins) butter, salt, pepper and canned corn/ or canned french cut beans; Night: 1 box of mac'n'cheese with butter/ or 3 cups of pasta with butter and moderate serving of sauce. I drink coffee through the day (I know I've got to sub that for more water). I am 44, height 68", weight 180.
