@@edSuwanDiyAudiophile you need to use a dental multi-directional bearing on the bottom it will be more balanced

do you tension the string counter clockwise to create anti skate energy?
@edSuwanDiyAudiophile4 ай бұрын
If you make a hole in the counter weight not at the center, you can set it for it.

It is prototype my DIY projects and and this is not well documented because there is no backing up files for damaged notebooks. But i have pic from my G plus file: drive.google.com/file/d/13eh0LAj_P8bKq6YAr38n5UtNz-XE79S6/view?usp=drivesdk

Impressive 🤩 How do you like it compared to regular bearing arms?

Hi Jon, Thank you, I can't say which one good, but it provides an extraordinary experience with this to me, for the length of the arm and the magnetic pivot. Ed

Hi, I want to make magnet bearing tonearm like you. I have a question. What's the name of small button connecting to arm tube with wire? I can't find this. You are a great diyer.
@edSuwanDiyAudiophile3 жыл бұрын
Hi... I used 2 cylindrical neodynium magnets to ensure adhesion, on the base and the arm pivot by using epoxy glue to attach them. you can have a look at the DIYforum of FRANK SCHOERDER "s magnet tonearm. because a lot of information from this. I am not an expert just learn from them.

@@edSuwanDiyAudiophile Thanks a lot. My question is " what is small round disc , supporting tonearm with metal wire. It is located in top of your tonearm, not magnet. I want to buy this but I can't find the name of this.
@edSuwanDiyAudiophile3 жыл бұрын
@@momosfather8995 you mean a bolt with a hole at the top for adjustment. All parts of this are lathe and none are in stock.

Does the magnet interfear with the Sound because its close to the cables?
@edSuwanDiyAudiophile6 ай бұрын
I'll try to explain, correct me if I'm wrong. A Magnet Toneram that use magnets definitely have a magnetic field around them, but there is no electric field. What can cause sound/frequency interference is an electric field. because this magnet is passive and there is no electric field it has no effect at all on the tonearm cable. Here I use silver cable with low magnetic properties. Ed
@Taran-d.B.236 ай бұрын
@@edSuwanDiyAudiophile Thx for the Answer. So its pure silver and not silver plated cooper? Because Copper would maybe get an interference. But Silver is verry brittle and its a moving cable so it maybe does not last long, right? I also thought about using 0,3mm insulated solid silver Wire as tonearm Wire but im scared it will break fast. I build the same Type of Tonearm with one pin and its Great because of the simple Anti-Skate with the Thread, but the Magnet System is also verry interesting.

@@Taran-d.B.23 I use fine pure silver from Audionote. This is a coaxial structure cable with a Teflon. It is very flexible, thin and light cable shape.
@edSuwanDiyAudiophile6 ай бұрын
This is screened 4N silver wire from audionote, which is discontinue. You can look at Hifi collective: www.hificollective.co.uk/wire/screened-pure-silver-tone-arm-wire.html
