Like the "Can Do" feel of the video. you showed how to build and the final results, of the sled . I appreciate you sharing your work . Some one said its not safe ..I disagree .. two feet on the ground , two hands on the router , eye protection, seemed aware and alert.. Safety is always an issue, with power tools, it's inherent .

I like your adjustable stop. The only suggestion I would have would be to add some spacer blocks on both ends so that the router bit could travel the whole width of the sled, and allow you to eliminate the sideways travel of the guide - that, I believe, is what a previous commenter was referring to when he was talking about a safety issue. Nice job

So glad to watch your video, it’s actually going to inspire me to make one, I’ve been putting it off for a while, I have a lot of tree cookies that are ready to be made into tables. Hopefully it goes as well as yours…😀

was thinking about steel or ALuminum, both have pro's and cons, looking at your video, is the sled bending? or is it the camera angle / lens?
@Kultakala_Design_Studio4 ай бұрын
@@RoninJeremy no its not bending

@@Kultakala_Design_Studio thanks for clarifying, aluminum it is then. Cheers!

@@RoninJeremy im using steel, aluminum will bend.

@@Kultakala_Design_Studio thanks for clarifying, it really looked like you were using Aluminum, from the color and the inside corners not being very round.

What horsepower router do I need? is a 2 hp router enough or should I get one stronger? I saw a 3 1/4 hp router on Amazon, really need to know…Thank-you… also, which router bit will I be using to smooth table tops?

That sled looks so dangerous... There is a MUCH better way to build that sled, and safely I might add...
