How to Build Small F-14 Tomcat RC Plane with Styrofoam/ Thermocol

Actually I'm planning to build a new RC Aircraft Carrier, but this one I will build an older one which is USS Nimitz. Like the previous model the first thing I do is to make a small RC plane to launch on top of the deck of the aircraft Carrier. I choose a rather vintage timeline which is 80s era, so I made an F-14 Tomcat. At first I use medium density styrofoam as the main material but also tried using a low density styrofoam. This time I use 3 channel control rather than 2 channel like usually I made a micro RC plane so I hope it will be more precise in control so I can practice landing on the carrier.

Well I was kidding but , you went and built it. Awesome ! Catapult and arresting wire , over the top. Such detail from scrap foam , 30 years ago I did a project with a kid, art from scraps. 10:30pm kid went to sleep, 3am finial scale painted on dragon, 3:30 am test flite from deck.?..oops in neighbor yard retrieved without waking his dog. It was a close to perfect as I have come the dragons claws made a handy way to hang it up. Luck ...larger versions failed tried using neck and head movement as elevator... take care .

Awesome! That carrier appears to be a replica of the USS Gerald R. Ford class, the modern successor to the Nimitz class. That being the case, this is the first F-14 to fly off of the Ford, as it entered service following the conclusion of the F-14 program for the U.S. Navy.

7:08 A tip for a crisp clean line between the yellow and black... After the yellow has dried and the tape has been applied, spray a light coat of yellow over the join and let it dry, then spray the black. When you remove the tape, the second yellow will get under the tape and seal the line, no black will creep under.

@JuliusPerdana You're very welcome, I looked at the model of plane you used for electronics and remote, it's about 40GBP un the UK. know is it's on the FLYSKY protocol, or if it will work with remote from WLtoys V911 helicopter? I will probably get one soon to use as it is, a spare/replacement PCB is about 22GBP, so I would buy just the board for making a pleane like yours, or if it uses FLYSKY protocol I can use remotes I already have. Oh, another little tip, I saw how soft the canopy was putting the black tape detail on, you can put this on while it is still on the mould, this way you can press harder on the tape for it to hold better.
