Absolutely fantastic! I actually even like the first option that shows the diagonal log, especially if you're using a stone wall. Gives it some extra texture and colour on the outisde!

Shit, never mind.. seems the devs broke this method, too. I can now only build a wall up 2 logs tall next to a staircase.

I can if you're still having trouble. i found that building down usually makes this process alot less buggy on multi story staircases, meaning starting at the top of the staircase with this same method and working your way down to the bottom if that makes any sense.

im trying to do the stone one but after i take out the support stone block it just collapses instead of goes diagonaly :(

You need to use the strut to drop it down not the beam.

the stones are weird, it actually goes off of the direction you place the first stack ei left to right or right to left to get the "smoother" side or the "rougher looking" side

Does not work! Game will not let you put three quarter logs into the diagonal logs on the side of the structure to make a complete wall. It will cut the three quarter logs into even smaller logs and leave a big triangle hole that you cannot fill. Why must it be so difficult to make stairs

@@Anthony-mf3pu i think he meant they added if you put a slope on one side, and a wall on the other it'll let you build stairs. If you want walls on both sides, you still need to use this method.
