lovely video i cant believe im just learning about this its floor plan and design goals are really similar to pre colonial kogi houses and general attapas (idk if im spelling that right) the design has mostly being phased out with the colonisation of nigeria and all that but going to really old style amala joints you can really see the benefits of a tent style house in a climate that has alot of water and floods then alot of heat and dryness i love any and all things that are sustainable

I am so glad you enjoyed this video! I'm not familiar with the history of Nigerian architecture but it doesn't surprise me that similar patterns show up all around the world. A good idea tends to make its way around with a few tweaks here and there to best suit whoever needs it at the time.

As a native Michigander, I have to say this looks exactly like the model at the museum. A suggestion for builds would be the dinner, the hot dog car (that used to be there), and the doll houses that are also at the same museum.

Thank you so much! This was my first time seeing it in person and it was so cool to see how everything fit together. I could really imagine a family living there. Also yes! I took so many pictures of the dollhouses, just in case I have time to build them later haha. I didn't have time to stop by the diner or the hot dog car unfortunately, but I did admire them from a distance. I do have a few Greenfield Village videos coming though 🥰

So glad you're enjoying the series! I've done a Tudor style cottage but not an English cottage "as seen in Cottage Living" yet. Every style that gets recommended is put on a list, but when each video actually gets produced depends on my time, availability of resources, and honestly just my mood lol.

Interesting adaptation of Yurt/general traditional family/community tent shapes by that architect, even down to ventilation etc. just with many, many extra steps 🙃🤣 To replace "vibes" in your speech might be futile.. 😉 "vibes" can seem like a linguistic crutch or slang, but - afaik - there is no singular "proper term" that is a true synonym for it, because it covers multiple aspects of more specific concepts in relation to object specific and social/ inter-personal feelings, mood, atmosphere, aesthetic and physical room climate etc. Tldr: you can't fully replace the meaning (and vibe) of the little word "vibe".

You are the only reason why I miss TS4 (I was one of the less lucky and some patches made the game unplayable for me). Your channel is a big inspiration and I tried some of the styles you showed us in TS2 but the build mode there isn't that good XD. Is there any chance you would revisit Art Deco style using the High School Years pack?

I'm so sorry you can't play anymore! I definitely want to! I did redo the auditorium after I was gifted the pack but I think doing another build, even if it's not a full on BLAN, would definitely be a great time!

This was a really interesting house to learn about. Such a forward thinking fellow. But ah Sims why can’t we do round walls well? Clipping and glitches are so annoying. All the diagonals and curved rooms made for a challenging build but it looks great
