How To Build a HACIENDA Like a Nerd - Base Game In-Depth Sims 4 Building Tutorial

Come build a Hacienda with me! (And fight through some audio issues because of course.)The Hacienda is found in primarily the Northern Mexico and Southwest United States regions and has been built since the early 1600s. New constructions are still being built, usually as extensive mansions. Hallmarks of this architectural style include a red tile roof, a large centralized courtyard, white stucco walls, and other Mediterranean elements also seen in the Spanish Colonial and Spanish Revival styles. This will place perfectly in Oasis Springs or other worlds that support a Mediterranean influenced build style. Loved this can you do a tutorial for cape cod/Hamptons roofing I really struggle to make that perfect arch because it can easily look like a barn!

Hamptons is on my list, but I do currently have full tutorials on both the Cape Cod and Dutch Colonial style. You may find those helpful.

This was so great. I was actually able to build this. You are a great teacher. Loved giving us price along with size to help figure out the rooms. Sometimes it goes a little fast but I can rewind. Would love to have a tour of the building tools and why you use certain ones over others - you may have this already. I’m newer to your channel. Thanks for all you do. 😊

I do my best to mention the tools as I'm using them in the tutorials, but I also have a few shorts about specific things like the wall tool and stairs. This was amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. This was super informative, and honestly I feel like I have a much better grasp on the style from this video alone compared to the handful of architectural articles I've read about Haciendas. I'm really pleased with how versatile they are too, it works so well for Oasis Springs whether they're built more rustic or super fancy. And I really like that you chose to build it on a lot that's on the smaller side because from the pictures I've found I was concerned I would only be able to have a Hacienda on a very large lot for it to look good, but your build turned out so beautiful and perfectly sized. Also, the video by no means felt rushed or chaotic, to me at least. It's completely understandable if you have to be quick with a video due to real life stuff. The fact that you're kind enough to take the time to research and then create these builds is already way more than what most people would be willing to do. And sorry for the lateish comment. I caught the video late last night but wanted to wait until I could say something productive rather than tired brain ramblings. Anyways, thank you again!

So glad you enjoyed the video! I'm glad the rushed energy didn't come through too much. I was so excited to build this, and part of the challenge with these videos is making them as accessible as possible, so I do try to build with the fewest packs and on the smallest lot necessary. It's good to know that's appreciated because you don't want to know how many tries the prebuild took me 😅

Great work! I was looking for hacienda videos since I wanna build one and this is the closest I have seen to actual mexican haciendas, maybe if I buy the castle pack and use the exposed stone it will look more like one . Your video was really helpful to figure out a layout and interiors, i binge watched a lot of your videos and your builds are great !

I love all the wallpaper and flooring swatches especially and they're incredibly handy for stone based builds.
