For the hybris h control or super 10 - I can’t find any manufacturers specs to say you can use it under the floor , can you share please I’d much prefer to be using that than celotex!

Surely as a kitchen, wouldn't you just want a concrete slab to lay tiles on? Chipboard would not be as good as a tile foundation as it risks movement and has joins, and if the plumbing/washing machine leaks (hidden for sometime as happened to my son), water would seep through and wreck the whole floor, as the boards soak up and disintegrate, whereas tile over concrete you just mop up and good to go?

Lapping the damp proof membrane up under the dpc.could you have used a wider dpc(600mm)and dropped excess down inside,with dpm taped at top underneath for seal,therefore only having one plastic through the bricks Rich

Hello. I noticed the house we purchased the extention attached to the house - the flooring does not have insulation. There is a membrane and 4" concrete on the floor. However is there an option i could insalate the floor before we decide to put either laminate or carpet down? Thanks in advance

if the extension is already built (which it sounds like it is?) then the regs have already been passed. I don't know if there is already insulation beneath the concrete, but if you decide to add extra on top, that shouldn't be a problem.
