I would personally go with performance. I would say many if not most people who want a $600ish budget build are doing so because they lack money for higher end builds, so they try to maximize performance per dollar. And that's not to diss anyone who is going for aesthetics. There's nothing wrong with getting an aesthetic build if that's what you want. It's just that most who go for aesthetics usually do so because they have money to spare.

If you're comfortable in buying used/BNIB parts then you can do the AM5 route fairly easily and not to mention that you don't have to pay that Uncle Sam via tax as the price listed in the video are before taxes. Here's my build and all came from meta. -Ryzen 5 7500F for $125 -16 gb (2x8) 5200 mhz which technically came free, but is priced $30 -Asus Proart B650 creator for $140 -256 gb m.2 nvme the only thing new for $20 -BNIB 3060 ti for $220 -Prexisting Corsair SFF 750 Plat bought for $125 -Thermal Assassin 5 heat pipes $20 -Cooler Masterbox q500 $20 Edit: I come from Canada, so I converted everything in USD and I also have shopped in Ali and have not experience any problem with them.

I think you've nicely demonstrated why its not worth going for aesthetics if you're on a tight budget, the extra spent to make the PC look better subjectively made it perform worse objectively, that's not a trade I'd recommend people make. Maybe it makes sense at higher budgets but for me it seems completely pointless spending 20 dollars on cable extensions when you could have bought better parts instead.
