Traction bars or some anti-wrap is a big deal for towing. I've had a 7.3 zf6, stock height, it wrapped pretty good towing. There's videos out there watching it wrap from underneath.

This conversation has settled my stomach on buying 6.0's. I'm getting a diesel truck eventually, I was 80% considering a 7.3l, 5% Cummins, 10% 6.7l PS, and 5% 6.0l. Now I'm 40% 7.3l, 40% 6.0l, 15% 6.7l PS, and 5% Cummins. I was scared to buy them because I blew up my 6.4l, and like the 7.3l IDI, 6.4's are just the bored out previous motor. The only real problem for me is saving up the money and finding/buying the right truck. Thanks KC!

High Output Alternator before you do anything else. It solves a lot of problems.

Lifters always take out the cam. Every single one I've seen. I've replaced lots of 6.0s for it. There's usually a warning sign. The screen gets damaged on the ipr, etc. I've found solid needle bearings in the pan before.

Had a stage 2 jet fire in my cart for my 6.0. Throttle got stuck on the floor mat and I ended up in the woods :/

What size injectors do u recommend on a 06 f350 lariat sbcc with 182k miles that would have a stage 2 kc hetfire 10 bladw turbo? 190/30 ? What other mods do you recommend for that setup besides a corresponding tune.

You won’t make it to 600 off of a stage 2 and 190’s. Unless you have it dyno tuned, built trans, supporting mods for fuel and air, possibly a cam too. Will be a lot easier to achieve 600 hp with less mods like 205’s with full fuel system, and a stage 3 turbo or non vgt setup.

I have one on mine, it’s a drop in cam. Just double check your valve clearance and you should be good to go.

@@loganuitdenbogaard9802 I was waiting two months for my kdd stage 2 cam and I emailed them for an eta and they said there was no eta at that time, so I canceled my order and had a river city diesel stage 2 cam at my front door 5 days later.

I can promise the 6.4 will run without oil till the bearings fail, oil change place didn’t tighten pan plug, , they did make it right and I got a ford crate motor to replace it. Thankfully, some day I’ll get to replace the turbos with Kc’s , but not till I get my 6.0 back on the road

I litterally have this build he’s talking about plus every single thing in the truck aftermarket and the best of the best like the oil cooler from xdp the oversized one and stuff like that make a big difference as well I also have the kdd icon race port heads and stage 2 cam, I diddnt want overlap with a giant cam on turbos applications it’s not a good thing to have a giant cam you can’t hold pressure in the cyl due to the overlap on high boost, and my truck fucking rips. I have a tune from I’d speed shop or gear head old name, but I want to get a Dyno tune but the truck is amazing now. I wana run spray because the turbo falls off on top but I was going to either do a compound set up with the vgt as the valley turbo and a 480 out front and nitrus but my truck is a business truck and I use it to pull my excavator so idk about the compounds. I was pulling a 15k fully loaded dump trailer full to the top of concrete and it pulled so hard with it on a straight away and I upgraded brakes to carbon ceramic brakes with braded lines and new calipers and towing it’s a dream the exhaust brake on the turbo sounds like a real Jake brake in tow tune. Nasty build and I love it. I have a blue lariat 4x4.

I love this! If you have good access to N2o it can be a good "add a big turbo" option for the go fast and fun times! But, i think my vote would beto go with the compounds s480 and keep the VGT in the valley. That would be the best way to eat your cake and have it too when you tow heavy.
