Found the drains! They are called “exterior evacuation drain traps”. You’re welcome!
@brendan8363 Жыл бұрын
Those aren’t air gaps, they’re basically a p-trap. If your tank backs up, it will still back up to the sink, which is what an air gap will prevent. Our county requires air gaps, not just a p trap.

It passed inspection and it’s a backflow prevention.

@@TheSeamster Good to hear - glad you're up and running! Still, backflow prevention is different from an air gap. I found this video when I was searching for an air gap solution as required for our food trailer. These won't pass as air gaps here. Not offering this as criticism, just hoping to clarify for others that are looking for air gap info. Thanks for posting your experiences - lots of good information here.

l agree with brendan,that is not air gap it would never pass by inspector. Air gap have a two inch space between the drain &PVC pipe

What are they called? Will you answer us please

@@brendan8363HOW are you supposed to travel in the food truck or trailer with fumes from the grey tank getting inside the trailer from an open pipe coming out of the tank. Or even the possibility of splashing

If you set up that truck all by your self I have to give you credit because I was crinching when i saw the way you were using those channel locks.
@TheSeamster Жыл бұрын
Yes, been using them for years and not everyone can use tools the same.
@MB-ir8xf Жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you understood my comment? you were using those channel locks completely wrong!
@TheSeamster Жыл бұрын
@@MB-ir8xf no I understood you and they have never failed me even when building my house completely with just my son and passed every inspection. Everyone uses tools in their own way to get a job done and as long as the job gets done quick and correct. If that made you cringe, check out when I cut FRP with my 4 inch hand grinder with the guard off. But thanks for taking the time to let me know how to get ur done.
