so it does not signal _all_ phones ? it only connects to ones with the app and that it is paired to? not very good if stolen then. interesting build project but no real world use you can buy tags like this for like $3 off ebay I have some i bought 10 years ago and didnt use as they only connect to a paired phone, so as said zero use if item stolen

For that kind of functionality, you will not only need a huge network of devices but also unrestricted access to these devices. For example, Apple uses their Find My network for this purpose. Since they are the manufacturer, they can collect data from the devices in the Find My network without any restriction and use that to track those tags.

@@Circuitdigest I have been looking at esp32 and a GSM module with GPS like the a9g or sim7600, power consumption means a larger battery so then it's only useful on things like cars motorcycles or ebikes.

Sir I am making my POV display project by watching your KZbin video. I am facing problem in connection of circuit diagram. I am not able to understand how the shift register is connected. For example, connect SR_0 PIN DATA to SR_1 Dout _1 and SR_0 LATCH to SR_1 LATCH and SR_0 clock to SR_1 clock and SR_0 Dout _0 to SR_1 Dout_1

If you have doubts about a particular project please comment below that video. The shift registers are daisy chain configuration. Ie the data pins are connected in series. The latch and clock lines are shared. ie in parallel.
