You can bulk add a prefix or suffix before generating the coupon codes. The plugin is free so I suggest playing around and testing generating 3-5 coupon codes to start to see how it all works.

Is the usage of these coupons only to be used in referrals, I am trying to essentially have it to where when some one purchases the first time they will be able to have this code, or maybe just the second time they buy. Where when they purchase a product an email will be sent out, however, I would have to manually change the coupon or find a software that can automate the email process. It is a little confusing with it all.

are you familiar with anyplugin that would do this but keep all those coupons grouped in some sense? i.e. to be able to bulk edit them later on or view usage statistics on them ?

I would just append 3-5 letters before the coupon name. For example, you want to bulk create 500 coupons for cyber monday sale. Add "cyber-XXXXX" as the coupon format. 100 coupons will randomly generate starting with cyber. You then could go to Analytics > Coupons and search "cyber-" and see stats on all those coupons.
