I was in a time crunch and haven't made a dvd in years. your tutorial was perfect. Still stymied as to why apple has made everything so proprietary over the years. earlier generations of iphoto etc were much easier to use and being an elderly person I have very little knowlege as to how this real works. It's worth mentioning that when burning a video DVD Burn provides a basic but perfectly adequate menu system to navigate through multiple files on the completed DVD.

Can you please help me? I have tried everything I know and I still can't get my burned DVD to play in a normal DVD player. I followed your video here and it allowed it to play on our xbox but it still won't work on the dvd player. I'm using at DVD-R and I have tried burning it at 2x speed and changed it from PAL to NTSC. What else can I try? When we put the disc into the dvd player it says playback prohibited by area limitations.

I get all the way up the burn and I see everything that you discussing in the video but when i click burn nothing happens with superdrive and I have used my superdrive often for CDs but now i am trying to make a DVD

Just listened to this now, 3/8/2023--Can I pay you for a consult...I need help for my questions on DVD-R....Here's one: Do you have detailed instructions on the burning of your DVD-Rs; my partner in scanning and burning has not burned DVD-Rs before, and we have been discussing putting media/data on these discs. We are confused, and need to ask about this important detail for our ability to organize and determine volumes/capacities for the disks (we bought 25 to start :) ..I will check back here frequently. It's possible that the video was shot upside down on the ipad and some programs may automatically flip it but not change the file. There are video editors that could do this to actually change the file.

Sorry I know this is an old video but I burned a CD-R with these steps and all my dvd players are saying the disc is dirty and can’t be read. I didn’t make my own video though I did download one off of KZbin. Is there anything I did wrong or is it just because it’s a CD-R and not a DVD?

I can open data dvd's on my dvd snd bluray player it only does not have a menu as in a dvd. You get more like a file list as you get in an usb stick you put files on. So you can.

Burn installs and runs but all media files are greyed out in browsing, and for drag-and-drop, some sort of process runs with a progress bar for about 1/16th second, but no file adds to the files list. Is this a Catalina issue?

2 years late on this but I think it just means "dvd menu" was selected as an option when burning the disc. He unticked it on his tutorial.

This did not work. I took an MP4 video and burnt onto a DVD-R disc. The disc does not play on my son's DVD Player that was made in 1999. This process does not produce a DVD-Video compliant disc!

Did you check the region when converting to mpg? If you are in north America, you need NTSC, not PAL, which was the default when I went to burn a disc.
