This technique is called the vibration press. It has been used to achieve world records for as much as 16 PPS. I have used this technique for many years now and I have learned this technique is very difficult to teach someone who has had no experience trying. A very strong key to learning this is to not concentrate on your positioning of your fingers but rather the vibration of your arm and it's consistency. +Zeda B Actually, if you just stay with her throughout the second race (no need to mash, just take it easy and keep a decent tempo), you can cheese it by just mashing at the very end and getting the quick win. This is how I beat the Cheato page rematch race. Figured that out through experimentation because I had nothing better to do with my life at the time. Otherwise that race will take years off of your life.

I have a very similar technique I've used for several years now actually but I use my thumb instead of the side of my index finger because it just feels better personally and my record on that mini game you showed is actually 138 so yeah you're pretty much right about the 13 taps per second. And yeah the way you tap the button is completely up to personal preference so it's a good idea to experiment.
