As usual well explained. One of the best if not the best ukulele/banjolele channel on youtube. Always interesting and educational lessons. Thanks Kelly

Excellent explanation and overview of these three. They all have their characteristics and all seem to be fine but The Duke definitely has the tone I prefer. Thanks for sharing!!

@@fourstringstrummer I think the Duke is the clear winner here !! But the Ohana isn’t bad. I kind of like the twangy sound too It’s nice you have an option with Ohana to get a concert. I love the case for the Duke. Wow !!!

For those wondering: Kmise MSRP is ~$100 (based on Amazon and less than $100 in some cases) Ohana MSRP is ~$400 (based on Ohana's webpage. no online orders, you need to find a dealer) Duke's MSRP is ~$400 (Based on Duke's webpage but you can order direct from their webpage) I have to "shop with my bank account" so it's a Kmise for me...for now.

Kelly, one could not wish for a better explained pro and con review. A potential buyer will learn a lot and make an informed choice.

@@thereseg7203 thanks Therese! Much appreciated - I always find it interesting to hear the differences of the sounds when they're played one right after the other .

Great video. The first 4 string instrument i bought was a kmise banjolele from amazon. I could not get it to stay in tune, the strings kept jumping out of the bridge . I took it to a local guitar store to see if they could help. On his advise i returned it to amazon for a refund and i bought a makala tenor ukelele. A year down the line i now have a barnes and mullins banjolele. And today i received a 50 year old musima banjolele from ebay. It was made in the former east Germany and i have to say for £50 it is an amazing instrument. Im fitting new strings tomorrow...

@ I think it is a great find . I have researched the company & they stopped making instruments in the 80’s so it is at least 40 years old. It’s in immaculate condition. Can’t wait to get new strings on it & play it 👍

Are the pickups mounted directly under the bridge feet, or are they slightly closer to the tailpiece?
@fourstringstrummer23 күн бұрын
They're pretty much right under the feet of the bridge
