To me I just want the most important things can the joysticks be operated while your arms are resting on your arm rests comfortably if not it's got to get moved so you can without being jostled as you're trying to drive and operate your implement. My tractor I got to move the fenders out there's no room on the deck for my big feet without stepping all over various controls it's not a problem I can't fix and while I'm at it I can actually Mount the ROPS more appropriately and add some more bracing smart thing to do would be to throw it away and actually make a proper roll cage for it somebody told me that's not a rollover protection system that's a thing to hold the roof up yeah I believe them but I'm going to fix mine so at least the roof is held up with a place to mount mirrors solidly get some lights mounted around the perimeter of the roof so I can see what I'm doing at night and some marker lighting placed in the roof as well for safety sake can't really see the front bucket with the hoot or the Gannon without turning around being that I have an added on loader has a kind of a hoop goes over the dash I'm going to put a pair of 9 inch screens and a camera over the bucket and the Gannon as well as forward and behind that'll record the jerks and their stunts I have to deal with the roadway almost continuously When you're trying to use the bucket the headlights of no value but you want to drive around with the bucket way up in the air there's no real turn signals only on the rear and no brake lights or orange triangle sign so I'm going to add all that going to mount my auxiliary turn signal lamps and headlights up front on the cams themselves so that everybody can see them the light will actually be of value no matter where the bucket is.

my salesman at the local dealer was trash, wouldnt explain anything wouldnt even walk outside to look at them with me. just told me to keep writing down model numbers and come back to the AC so he can figure it out. keept it up i needed this!

What an amazing video showing someone new to driving a tractor! Salesman of the Year. I definitely learned a lot unlike from my salesman. I ordered a B2601 without even seeing one! My dealer, largest Kubota dealer in the State, doesn't have any! They usually have 100+ tractors in the lot. They had 5 today. All big boys. These great videos, comparisons,etc have helped me buy a tractor without ever sitting on it

My Kubota dealer was so bad I finally sold my B2620 and bought a JD. I sure wish Messick's had a dealership in Maine!

Though not mentioned, there are some advantages to a shuttle-shift transmission over the hydrostat, so it's worth looking into. By the way, I just placed an order for oil and filters to do a 500 hr. maintenance on my Kubota MX4700. Messick's is hard to beat for after-the-sale service and parts.

To hell with our criminal government particularly EPA bullshit just like the rest of government everything it does has no bearing on any actual pollution it's mainly to cost you money cost you time make you want to hate life why we tolerate these bastards in our lives I'm sure not going to deal with them give them both fingers point them the way to the door and I hope it hits them in the ass twice hard. I had rented a John Deere 210k tractor that trash emissions system on it, it would not finish so you're stuck trying to run with a derated engine wasting fuel wasting time unable to do the damn job I needed it to do terrified to actually take it what I needed to take it as it had no power. The 4 wheel drive wasn't working not like there's a lever to engage it JDs are worthless considering it's a rental unit I sent it back after wasting a day fooling with it getting nowhere what a piece of garbage waste of time waste of money you think they would credited me something hell no. That's why I bought a real tractor and sure as hell not a new one mine's all mechanical no computer BS anywhere considering all this garbage of right to repair and everybody trying to make it where you can't work on a damn thing the hell with that what's wrong with these idiots.

Thank you for the show & Tell. The information you SHOW on the Differences, not just Price. You try very hard to get the customer the RIGHT size for their property. Believe me, we got the smaller Kubota mower for larger Grass around open space under our elevated water tank. If only I had a salesman like him, to show the big Difference on the larger tractor. Always go one size or two bigger. I would spend so much of my Day mowing, would be a world of different's if I had gone bigger. The Battery will Die like he said at the time you need to do your job most. Always replace, get a trickle charger for battery It makes a big difference on my 1971 Large Batteries for my old Detroit Diesel with Double set of heavy duty Equipment Batteries. The front Bucket Leveling is so important, though the Green Machine's had that option, the flat plate on top of the front bucket, makes Leveling so smart. I have to guess where my Level bucket is on my 1978 front bucket. I feel it out when I'm parking her. I will start looking for a flat spot on top of my Bucket, thank you so much for that great information watching this video.

I have a fair amount of experience driving a tractor and working a loader. Just now getting to the point of shopping for one for myself. This is a great video to show some of the things we can't see in your other videos. (what a person looks like sitting on a B series, size, where are controls, etc) But I think the gentleman in the video did it the right way. Do all your research first, watch the videos, read the specs, etc. then go sit on all the models you are thinking about. I think if you just go straight to the dealer, especially as a newbie, it will be extremely overwhelming. Thanks for all the videos you have put out, top notch!

You do understand CASH isn't always the king.... Some dealerships make money on the interest rates as well. :-) Plus, They get their money quickly even when the customer finance the item. Basic econ 101 tim.

MY L3301 regen's every 30 hours or so. I try not to run at idle, but also rarely run PTO, so I'm usually operating at 1500 - 1800 doing mostly medium duty loader work. The parked regen warning beeps, I bump the RPMS up to about 2200 and let it do it's thing while I get a cup of coffee.

DocRevo we have a Kubota 8560 and if we are ,mowing , baling , doing heavy work with with it never does a regen but if we are moving bales or feeding cows in the winter it does them , not every day but about every 3 weeks if we are just using it to feed cows in the winter

I bought the 2501 solely because it does all I need on a small hobby farm.no DPF junk,no fancy bells and whistles.It runs a 60 inch bush hog sqealer no problem.Full loader of top soil,aggregate.ONE thing that the L series is lacking is cruise control on a long day of mowing.BUT,it can be added for a couple hundred dollars.Each to there own,but I say,"keep it simple",keep your dpf.Either way,kubota's are rock solid under the right care.

Good to hear. I’ve been wondering if the 2501 will have enough power. I have a small horse farm and mostly will be loading manure and running a manure spreader and occasionally using a back blade for snow removal. Won’t be doing much brush hogging. I’ve been getting by with an old Farmall H so I’m sure the 2501 will be enough.

Good video. I went for the L2501 with standard shift. The hydro transmition is not fun keeping your foot on a peddle and eats up power. And the 25 hp one has all of that emissions stuff.

I felt like the Kubota loader valve was much more controllable for delicate tasks than the New Holland and Kioti. Even from parking lot tests.

I could never tell when my bucket was flat to the ground ,Not tilted to much and digs into the ground ,so I mounted 2 fishing rod like on each side of the bucket,When they was strait up I know my bucket was flat to the ground. Also I would like to know how strong the front axle and the spindle for the front tire was because I broke both of those at different times when I lifted something that was a little heavier than I thought it was. Im talking about some of the older models.

I'm going to purchase 20-50 acres. Wooded. Tree diameters from finger-48"+. After homesite prep its be used to mow loader work ie bucket grapple box blade. So I'm kinda feeling trapped between M series for initial clearing to L series. I keep watching to learn more to make a educated decision. Compaction is a concern after clearing to a point. Thanks for the information.

Good video Neil. You gave the customer a lot of good information. Now he should look at Kubota's website and do his homework. This can be a daunting task, building and pricing the different models and looking at their specs can take some time, but is time well spent. As an example the loader specs on a B50 series looks to be very close to the L3301 and L3901. The B2650 is also capable of running a decent size rotary cutter and doesn't have a DPF. A DPF isn't a deal breaker, but if you don't need a tractor that size its one less thing to worry about and has an impact on the tractors price. I have a L47 TLB and have had no problems with the DPF, but I have the DPF percentage screen on display always so I know when I need to plan a regeneration. I also have a B2650 that I run 3-point attachments with and it does more than you think a 26 hp tractor would. So in summary a trip to the dealer is a good thing, you should still take the time and do your research. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos, I really enjoy them.
