The laws are that you have to be a licensed NDP, rectifier or distillery. A consumer cannot buy a raw barrel. It must be bottled under an existing approved label.

Right on. Kings county did an interesting loop hole recently. They were selling a barrel (not a 53 gal) and then enough bottles of new make to fill it with. The. You age it yourself at home. Pretty fun idea. Not a solution to getting a barrel of whiskey for personal use but still a fun way to experience the maturation process.

That MOQ number is the minimum number of barrels you have to buy to get those at that price . Some you can just buy one some you can’t

This is very interesting. I don't see an issue if you just bought a barrel outright if you could go get it. If you do not have a business license, i don't know if you could get it shipped in most places unless you are a distillery. Of course you could not legally sell it unless it went through a distributor by the bottle.

Right right. I would buy a barrel for just me and my friends to drink from. Kinda like a kegerator
