I think you should have touched upon how gold is taxed. Because right now I am Confused if I would pay less tax on physical gold than by using an etf

Thanks for the comment, I think I forgot to mention the taxes. You can have a tax free profit of €600 on "Other Income" this includes Gold and Crypto among other things. (www.gesetze-im-internet.de/estg/__22.html) Now if you keep gold for more than a year and sell it afterwords, there will be no tax on the Profit.

Would my stock broker like scalable capital treat it as a normal stock even if I keep it for one year and deduct capital gains like a normal stock even if I hold the stock for longer than one year?

All ETFs would be considered the same. So yes the capital gains tax would be cut even if you hold it for more than a year.

Yes you are correct, physical Gold after 1 year is Tax Free and ETFs and CFDs would come under Capital Gain. For tax benefits its better to hold Physical Gold. But there are additional costs with that, like a safety deposit box costs etc

Buying Exchange Traded Commodities (ETC) are Physical backed by exchange, Eg : EUWAX Gold II , Xetra-Gold . Therefore, no tax after 1 yr and no TER for purchase. This is much better than gold bars/coins or ETFs.

Generally the value of cash and gold needs to be less than 10k€ when going outside europe. When entering Germany you can only bring 430€ worth of gold without declaration
