Apparently, due to tighter European emissions standards, Audi have decided to discontinue the A1 after the end of the current model (Mark 2''s) production run!

Not just Audi discontinuing small cars unfirtunately. Legislation (ie politicians) have forced so much safety kit etc onto all cars that it's difficult for almost all manufacturers to make money on small cars, so we're being forced into larger, heavier, thirstier cars that are worse for the environment (and our wallets)

My niece recently sold her A1 S Line, 1.4, nice spec and well below avg mileage (12k) because of Covid, it was 4 years and 3 mths old. New it was £21.5k. Sold it to a car supermarket desperately looking for stock for just over £15k. I'm no car dealer but I'm that means it would retail for at least £17k. They certainly keep their value ATM.

I’ve got a 2011 1.4 182 hp which is auto triptonnic. 21000 miles only. one real problem recently. The abs system failed needing a new ABS module Overall very happy still with it
