How to Buy Tires for YOUR Car

I felt like giving some unwarranted advice on purchasing tires. I hope this helps and leave any tips in the comments below that I may have left out!

Just another helpful tip: When buying tires it is a good idea to look at the DOT number. The DOT number reads something like “8X08-45RV-2517” the last 4 digits represent the date that specific tire was manufactured. In this instance, the tire would be made on the 25th week of 2017.

I’m not the only one who doesn’t like stickers on my car lol I have a 14 ST1 and all the stickers from the parts I installed on it are on my fridge 😄 great video by the way especially since I’m on the look for new tires 👍🏼

I was in a pinch due to a flat, I had ordered the indy 500s a few days ago and just put them on. I wouldn't have gotten them if you didn't make your tire video a few weeks ago!

I bought the king ranch leather conditioner from ford. Wet a rag and gently wipe the leather clean. Apply the conditioner lightly and buff off. Feels and looks better than new!

I am planning on ordering some new wheels and getting some Michelin pilot sport 4s on them, because the website mounts and balances the tires for you

I'd like some advice from you, if possible: I bought Kumho PA31 tires 235/40/18 last year & have been unhappy with the ride on my 2013 Titanium Hatchback. Stock tires were Michelin Pilot Sport w/ only a 320 AA A. I've noticed on tire rack that all the 2015-2018 Titanium's have factory OEM Pirelli P Zero A/S tires w/ a 500 AA A. Is that a solid tire & will it give me a better ride than the Kumho? The Michelin Pilot A/S 500AA A tire is about $50 more per/ tire vs. the Pirelli P Zero. Also tire rack is about $40 cheaper per/tire than Discount or America's tire. Should I just order on Tire Rack? What about Tire Racks combo deals? You can get factory black ST wheels mounted & balanced & shipped to the house w/ tires for between $1300-1600 depending on tire choices. What do you think of doing something like that & just mounting them yourself?

That's a great brand as well. I considered the Pzeros for my ST just ended up trying something new.

I had pzeros on mine when I bought it new. They were pretty good. I replaced them 30000 miles later with the pilot super sports and they are better. Those Daytona st hough are relatively inexpensive. It's a tough call but the wife would rather you get tires than anything else... Like a rear motor mount, Gjeebs. Or an intercooler, down pipe and a big turbo. Don't get married if you love cars.

My car came with the Pirellis when I purchased it new from Ford. There are an absolutely horrible Tire. They cup really bad. They started cupping around 25,000 miles. I rotate them every 6000 miles. They have very poor traction off of the line.
