This is not precise method for calculating area. If you are an engineer then your approach must b as an engineer. Just simply find the area of rectangular+triangle. And one thing more just compare your solved example and first snap on video. How much shamefull? Which thing you are showing also work on it.

Firstly draw this to some scale. Then separate the triangle from the rest of the shape. Measure the three sides of the traingle. Calculate area. Then divide the remaining plot lengthwise. If u draw to scale u will get the necessary limits. Use calculus to find area of two halves. Add up all. Or use sketchup and draw this shape with the dimensions.. Use the area tool.

Simple way to calculate the area of irregular shape. Divide the area in 2 triangle. Take a one more measurement from one coroner to other opposite corner. Your 2 triangle is ready. Use general formula of triangle area. Add Both. Exact area is ready.

Simple way to do is to divide into 2 part first take the rectangular shape just multiply LnB then take the triangle shape and do the simple formula.

This method is totally wrong. Exact area can be calculated by dividing the plot in 2 triangles and using heron's formula. Measure one diagonal and that diagonal split this plot in two triangles then use heron's formula to calculate area of each triangle and add areas of both triangles to get total area. Example: Let say Diagonal = 32 Then one triangle has sides : a = 8 ft 3 inches, b = 30 ft and c = 32 ft calculate S = (8.25+30+32)/2 Area1 = Sq Root of (Sx(S-a)x(S-b)x(S-c)) Second triangle has sides : d = 10, e = 36 ft 2 inches, and c = 32 ft calculate S = (10+36.166+32)/2 Area2 = Sq Root of (Sx(S-d)x(S-e)x(S-c)) Total Area = Area1 + Area2

Wrong calclution first divide plot in two triangle then one triangle will be right triangle use "height x base" diveded by 2 formula for that triangle and then use heron's formuls for another triangle.then add two areas this is your real area.

Method is erratic. How a shape can be affixed while at least one angle is not calculated. With your given lengths without any angle you may get hundred of difference shapes and each shape with difference area. My dear at least one angle is always desire.
