In this tutorial, i have explained briefly How to calculate Cement sand and Aggregate quantity in the concrete slab.
This tutorial is beneficial for not only the engineers working on site but also for those people who plan to build their homes and other establishments so that they can know How to calculate the quantity of materials in concrete and estimate the quantity of cement, sand, and aggregate required by themselves. This enables them to minimize the expenses on construction by reducing the construction cost.
It is quite easy to calculate the amount of cement, sand, and aggregate required for the construction of slabs. Everyone and not only the engineers can calculate it and that too just while sitting back at home.
After watching the complete tutorial you will be able to calculate the quantity of materials in slab for any grade of concrete.
By using this method you will also know how to calculate Cement sand and aggregate for m20 grade concrete.
PS:
The procedure shown in this video is for PCC Slab (without steel)
M15 is used for plain Cement concrete. For RCC Slab you can use the minimum grade M20(1:1.5:3) and do the calculations accordingly.
Regards!

What is M15 & M20
@CivilTutor
@CivilTutor 2 жыл бұрын
These are concrete grades... M15 means concrete mix (1cement : 2 sand : 4 aggregate ) having characteristic compressive strength of 15N/mm². M20 means concrete mix (1cement : 1.5 sand : 3 aggregate ) having characteristic compressive strength of 20N/mm². Regards!

@@CivilTutor also suggest me which cement is best for it? I picked ultratech weather plus. And can we add dust to this mix?
@CivilTutor
@CivilTutor 2 жыл бұрын
The best safe mix would be M20 (1:1.5:3) for Slab and Beams.... For Columns you can opt for M25 (1:1:2). If you are looking for high durability and workability, then i would recommend PPC. However, if you are looking for less initial setting then i suggest you to use OPC for house construction. There is no harm in using Crusher dust if unadulterated by soil and other undesirable impurities. if you are talking about the finer particles below 150 micron - it is not recommended to use in concrete and last thing it would consume you more cement. Regards!
