Sir, Very useful details given to each and every employee,related to EPF & EPS. But,Lot of employees are having one doubt that the employer has fixed the Basic Salary and D.A.as their wish. For example,an employee is getting the highest Gross Salary (i.e.,Rs.30,000). But, the employer has fixed a minimum amount of basic + DA (Approx.Rs.6800). Is EPF Rules permitting them ? Is any mandatory procedures are there ? What rules/Acts/Regulations says ? If any specific rules are there to fix the Basic and D.A.? Pl.explain.Your clarifications are awaiting by lot of employees, like me.

Basic + DA is correct, whereas act says basic pay define it includes all emaluments except HRA, BONUS,OT, COMMISSION OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR HONORORIUM, in final in the example CA could be taken into account

You didnt mention the percentages of Employer contributions. Guys See! Employee - 12% Employer - 12% ( 8.33 + 3.67 ) i.e (8.33% goes to EPS and 3.67% goes to EPF) also that 3.67% is from our Governments

But the claim was rejected due to : 1) MEMBER NAME & BANK AC NUMBER NOT CLEAR MEMBER ADVISED TO UPLOAD VALID & CLEAR PASSBOOK 2) CERTIFICATE ENCLOSED IS IMPROPER 2) My bank account added in my UAN is previous salaried account.
